Apartments Valais, Randa near Zermatt — Hotel in Randa

We were travelling with extended family and one baby, and stayed four nights in the first floor apartment of House Bergdohle. The apartment is very spacious and clean, and our stay was extremely comfortable. Our hosts are very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond expectations. For example, they prepared for our little one a whole suite of supplies (a crib, a changing table, several baby-sized towels, and multiple sets of baby dining utensils), making the place feel really like a home away from home.

Their website gives a very accurate description of the place and the how it is equipped. The kitchen is really fully equipped, if you cannot find something, don't hesitate to ask. Most likely it is just tucked away in an unexpected drawer. When we visited a really nice service offered by the hosts is that we can directly order bread, through our hosts, to be delivered to the apartment fresh in the morning. While shopping options are somewhat limited in Randa itself, both Taesch and Zermatt have "regular sized" (by Swiss standards) grocery stores (with branches of Coop near the their train stations).

Paul and Esther’s apartments were perfect for our ski vacation in Zermatt. Our family stayed in ‘Dachwohnung B’ and ‘Wohnung Mitte,’ and both were impeccably clean, comfortable, and cozy. We cooked six out of seven nights, and the kitchens had everything we needed. The location was incredibly convenient—just a five-minute walk to the train station, with a 20-minute ride from Randa to Zermatt. Once there, it was a quick walk across the street to the Gornergrat Bahn or about a seven-minute walk to the Sunnega Gondola. Paul and Esther were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond by picking up our luggage from the train station, dropping it off when we left, and even driving us to Täsch on our first evening to pick up groceries. We were very lucky to get this place by chance in late reservation for our Hiking vacation, in village Randa, near Zermatt region.House Bergdohle was truly fantastic, with calm and serene surroundings. Rooms in chalet were all neat and clean, with full kitchenette, and we were greeted by Bottle of Local wine :-). We arrived by car and left in near by house parking. Randa train station is just 5 min walk. There are very good family hiking trails starting from Randa, especially Randa -- Täsh -- Zermatt. Host Paul & Esther are really wonderful people who extended all help and information, to make us feel at home. In nutshell we had a great vacation and lasting memories...
