Lovell Mountain Lodge Summer and Winter Camps and Hostel — Hotel in Saanen

Our whole class was exceited to go on this school trip until we actually made it to our “hostel”. The rooms looked very unhygenic, claustrophobuc and unclean, some students even had mold in their rooms. Overall very very dissapointing. The only upside of this whole place was the views from the windows. We couldn’t also lock our door due to a “fire hazard” making the privacy very limited.

The food was extremely unsightly, often uncooked and overall not good, leaving many of us really hungry and living off of only cucumbers and tomatoes for the whole duration of our visit. Our lunch also consisted of only a sandwitch and some chips.

Because of the food we were looking for oppertunities to go to the supermarket to buy some food or snacks, but the staff were not having it and wouldnt meet us half way. The staff also felt very unorganised and always rushed it was never chill and you can sit around for a bit. We felt like dogs being commanded around.

Skis were also awful. They only had skis for beginners with limited lengths. The person setting our bindings did not ask for our weights or anything leaving a very unproffesional impression. The skis would always pop off after the tiniest of bumps and felt like an extreme health hazard. I almost never fall while skiing but on those 4 days of skiing i fell kore than i have ever before in my entire life.

Overall would not recommend DO NOT GO HERE! Please talk to your teachers if they are looking...

When I arrived I was honestly in shock There was zero freedom, u can’t do anything u want and u get treated like prisoners Food was absolutly horrible and u may starve Bearly any water was offered there And once u get hungry u cannot go and ask for hot water to cook anything or any food Once your there u must go under their rules and no matter what they say orelse your out Rooms were dictating and horrible and so extremely tiny Mattresses were made out of styrofoam Room was freezing cold Rooms had spider webs Mold and even more No internet atleast not for students staying there It violettes a lot of safety hazards not to mention it’s generally just very ugly and so extremely disgusting It’s like a punishment camp People working there get so triggered once you say smth or do smth that doesn’t apply to them Never in my life would I ever go there again It was absolutly horrible and every fun activity was ruined by smth from them I would honestly report this place and close it down because of how disgusting and...

Stayed here with 20 students on a residential trip. Comfortable accommodation and great location. But the best feature by far was the dinner. Each day Mr Simon - the resident chef and great character - would create a wonderful soup, a main with a range of accompanying tasty salads - and a delicious dessert. He clearly loved his craft and was very good at it. We joked each day that the guy was in the wrong place. Quite seriously the food would not be out of place in a top end...
