Motel - Hôtel Garni Inter-Alp — Hotel in Saint-Maurice

This was a great little find. We were planning a stopover on a long drive and did not want to stay in a big city for what would be a late arrival and early departure. This was a great simple little place. It is literally just off the freeway but you have mountains on both sides. ||||It is motel style so drive your car to your front door; bike racks; stand alone cabins. It had all we needed for our stay - clean bedding and towels; hot shower; tea and coffee making facility. ||||They offer breakfast at a really reasonable rate however we were heading south so skipped it.||||It would be a good little spot for exploring the mountains, for biking straight from the motel.||||They don't have 24 hour check-in and dinner facilities etc. however we arranged for our late check-in. ||||It is simple, convenient and provides all the basics for a good...

We had a wonderful welcome - the hosts and staff were extremely friendly! The rooms are actually individual bungalows consisting of a bedroom, small bathroom, lounge area & small kitchenette with a private terrace beyond the lounge. We really loved it! The hotel is about 4km from the centre of the beautiful village of St Maurice, where there are several little restaurants if you require one. Attenzione: questo hôtel era inserito (erroneamente) anche come Garni, sempre qua su TripAdvisor; cioè è doppio. Nell'attesa che ri-uniscano i due profili, incollo la mia recensione anche qua. ||Scoperto dopo che era duplicato... ||Per me è più corretto il profilo (già esistente !) ' Motel - Hotel Inter-Alp ' (e infatti prima l'avevo recensito là). ||||||-- ||||||Scelto, tra le strutture della zona, perché abbastanza comodo per le nostre mete e per i prezzi accessibili.||Il complesso (non grandissimo) è carino, accogliente, con le sue casette, ognuna con posto auto e piccolo spazio esterno con tavolo.||Noi scelto la Camera familiare: il bungalow non era enorme, il letto un po' "sacrificato", ma c'erano due (piccole) stanze separate; dotato di frigorifero, bollitore con caffè e tè compresi (volendo, anche piccolo angolo cottura, con supplemento).||Non era modernissimo, ma tenuto bene e pulito.||Dietro un giardino con una giostrina per i bambini.||L'ufficio è aperto fino alle ore 22 circa (là si possono anche acquistare alcune bevande, ecc.).||La prima colazione si consuma in una saletta rimodernata, a fianco della reception. Buon assortimento, anche con frutta fresca, ecc.||E' fuori dal paese (l'avevamo letto; lo sapevamo), sulla route Cantonale e non ha ristorante (ce n'è uno non lontano, ma quella sera era chiuso; sennò nella vicina frazione Lavey-les-Bains, ove avevamo cenato noi, su indicazione della gestrice, dove si trovano anche le Terme, o a Saint Maurice).||La gestrice è gentile e parla...
