Service: There was a man at the front counter who checked us in, and he was absolutely horrible. While bathing my toddler, I noticed some hair in the tub. Initially, I thought it was due to the tub not being cleaned properly. However, I later found a glue-like substance with hair stuck to it on the towel we were using. I brought it down to show the front desk, but he was completely unbothered. I asked to speak with the manager due to his dismissive attitude, and he said he would inform the manager the next day. I requested that the manager contact me when they were available, and he said okay. I have since checked out and am still waiting to hear from the manager.
This same man was also not welcoming when we checked in. We’re new to using Booking.com in Taiwan and didn’t understand why we needed to present the credit card used to book, especially since it was already paid in full. This trip was a gift from my family, so we didn’t have their credit card with us. I called my family to confirm that the card had already been charged. The front desk said they would refund us (though no receipt was provided), and we would have to pay with a different method. This was not explained to us by the man checking us in, but rather by his coworker, who was very understanding of our confusion. The man who checked us in just kept repeating, “If you don’t have your credit card, you have to pay differently,” and kept asking me if I wanted to proceed, without offering any explanation. His coworker had to step in and clarify things, as the original staff member was like a broken record.
The morning staff, however, was absolutely amazing—especially a woman in her 40s or 50s. A younger man was also extremely friendly. 100% satisfied with them.
Food: The dinner buffet was great! The set menu breakfast was horrible, but the buffet breakfast was good. Lunch at the café was also great. It seems like the hotel adjusts the type of food service based on the number of guests. If there aren’t many people, they serve set meals. Dinner was not available during most of our stay. Also, note that there’s no Uber Eats—so make sure to drive or use the hotel’s transportation service (available at an extra cost).
Facilities: The indoor play area is great and was the main reason we chose this hotel. It is well-maintained.
Overall: I would recommend this hotel because of the play area, but for the price point, I definitely expected better...
Read moreI have to give 1 star because we are very disappointed with the facilities! Kids were excited to go to the kiddie pool, but got turned away as the rain was coming. Kids were going to the pool the get wet, I don't see the point! Then I am travelling with 2 boys of 10yrs and 8yrs and a 5yrs girl. I am travelling without their dad, and I was told I cannot bring my son's to the women's spa because boys of any age has to go to the men's eventhough the spa was empty. The two facilities that we most looking forward to ended up not available to us. Just pure disappointment! The desk person wasn't particular nice either.
All windows are either dirty or foggy, cannot really enjoy the sight!
At least the room is roomy.
Kids are also excited about the go-cart, but now I read some review saying it's not free.. guess I'll have to find out tomorrow morning as it's also not...
Read moreThe room has poor soundproofing. We can hear noise from the restroom, hallway, and even the road, despite being on the 8th floor. The hotel should upgrade its soundproofing.
The restaurant had limited options with only one set meal. The value for money was very low. I suggest they provide more choices, so guests will be willing to stay longer and spend more at the hotel.
The hotel facilities are great for families. The safe swimming pool, children's playroom, go-kart track, gym, and spa are all excellent.
At least when I visited in late summer, the restaurant, lobby, and playroom were a bit too hot, probably because the building is...
