This is a very new hotel and it seems the staff and many of the facilities are not quite ready. ||||We brought six families here and are hoping to bring more in the Summer provided we see some improvement.||||Rooms||The largest room has two double beds and is fine for us (2 adults and 2 kids). A wardrobe would be nice, as would a mirror (one in the bathroom only). The TV channels are limited and no guide to TV channels. Otherwise, the room is clean. Bathroom has a bath as well as a shower. In our room, the AC control was broken which meant we were constantly calling down to ask to switch it off.||||Swimming Pool||Beautiful but, despite repeated requests and reassurances that it would be open, it was closed. A big disappointment for the 11 kids in our party. So with a LOT of hassle from us, we managed to get it filled for the last day. A big asset to this hotel. Without it, we wouldn't consider coming back in Summer but it's the only hotel in the area with a pool.||||Restaurants||Mostly closed or with very small selection. Maybe since it's off-season but it means we are going out for food which is at least a 15 minute walk or 5 min taxi ride. The hotel staff are happy to call nearby restaurants to order food to be delivered.||||Communication||The staff just don't speak English. Without a Putonghua speaker, a stay at this hotel would be extremely frustrating, especially as they are supposedly 'international'. The staff are unable to answer very...
Read moreThe room (twin bed) was very spacious and clean and luxurious. Beds were super comfortable! Interior decoration feels of older style. Bathtub was quite big but no Japanese style toilet. Room Amenities were a bit lacking, like no hair dryer for instance. Wifi speed was decent. You can hear sounds from the next room sometimes if it is a loud sound. There was some security announcement but it was all in Chinese so couldn't understand. Maybe they should announce in English as well, especially since Taiwan is earthquake prone. The hotel has sauna, spa, and a fitness center which is a plus. Breakfast was good overall but can be improved with healthier options. Also both the milk tea and the lemon tea are a bit too sweet. They should give more options in fruits as well in the breakfast. And there should be at least a 24 hour free tea/coffee service at the reception which is offered even in small hotels in Japan. Overall, a decent comfortable...
Read moreAt the wedding I had asked a spoon, fork and knife, and the waiter gave a big pair of serving spoon and fork. I told the waiter that I wanted dining spoon, fork and knife. Then the waiter left and didn't return so I had to asked another waiter, but the same incident happened again and again for 3 times. For the 4th and 5th times, the waiters didn't return. I had no choice but to go and keep on standing at the kitchen entrance to get what I wanted. It seemed that the waiters didn't know the difference between dining and serving spoon and fork because one of the waiter just came out of the kitchen again had a big pair of serving spoon and fork in his hand ready to be given to me. Later on I got I what I wanted. I think it took me about 20~30 minutes or more to get the correct...
