We stayed here for 3 days hoping to experience a hot spring hotel. When we arrived - we were somewhat disappointed. The hotel seemed totally deserted (we came during low season). The resort was virtually empty.||The rooms were nice (a little on the small side), but the highlight was that each room had its own hot and cold tub so we could experience the hot/cold right in our own room!||The resort grounds were very clean and well kept, but the pools weren't too inviting to dip in. There is only one indoor swimming pool and the outdoor hot/cold pools were not well labelled, so we weren't sure what pool was what. So the resort hot/cold pools as part of the resort were disappointing.||We eat at the hotel buffet and evening dinner. We choose the fixed meus. While they had a lot of dishes, the quality of food wasn't great. Even their French Toast didn't really taste like French toast. So the dining experience there was disappinting, especially the set menus for dinner.||There isn't much to do on the resort as well. There is an exercise room and a baby room and play room. It was ok, but again - it was virtually empty and not staffed by anyone, so there isn't much for kids to do on the resort.||We have been to different hot bath hotels in Taiwan and I must say, this was a disappinting experience and we would not return for the price we paid. The food was nothing special, the hot/cold pools were a let down. The only positive highlight was the in-room mini hot/cold...

Read moreSpent two days here for a short resting break. The hotel is squeak clean, with room cleaning done twice a day, morning and afternoon (you can tell them to skip the second one). The service is excellent and the staff mostly friendly and always professional. The building and the spring pools are inspired by a western classic style (could be loosely interpreted as Greek-Roman, with the rooms following a Japanese style, with Tatami and beds on the floor). Central heating was fantastic during those cold days and so were the in-room pools too. I had an excellent stay with just two observations.
I still recommend the experience without being put off but those two observations which are of very personal nature. The hotel is a...
