This is seriously worth a visit. Beautiful hotel in a lovely scenic park. We visited in the week so it was quiet in the daytime but after the park shuts at around 6:00pm guests at the hotel get the park to themselves, the lights in the park light up and the place takes on a whole different feeling. It’s like being in “Spirited Away” great scenery and a gem for photography. The hotel is clean and staff are lovely, exactly what you expect from one of the lakeshore group and meeting their high standards. The buildings are listed and protected so have an old-world feeling but inside they’re well kitted out with clean decor, powerful shower, nice TV and comfy bed and great views. Each has either a balcony or an open area where you can sit outside. The bedside and table offer usb charging, which is a nice touch and the staff out mosquito coils by the door to ward off any little critters trying to gat inside. Evening dinner is offered in the park and the food was excellent, staff were super friendly and helpful and we immediately said we would come back and bring friends. Breakfast was also good with local choice foods and a good selection. Parking is offered in the extensive nearby lot for the park. All in all I have to say this was a wonderful stay and a place we will indeed return again to visit. Highly recommended.
Finally the park offers things you and the family can try such as making leather trinkets or stone amulets etc making it a hands on experience.

Read moreA truly unpleasant service experience at this hotel.
I experienced low blood sugar while in the lobby and asked for some sugar. They had none available and suggested I walk back to my room to get it—while I was nearly fainting. Only after I insisted did they reluctantly search for sugar, showing visible annoyance.
While I was recovering and waiting for my Uber delivery, the driver informed me they could not enter the hotel. I asked the receptionist for help but was told the park was closed and no cars could get in or out. The “solution” they offered was for me, in my weakened state, to walk to the gate or have the driver do so.
They brushed it off, saying, “Oh, this is normal—the park just closes at night,” without offering any solution. I had to repeatedly ask how to resolve the problem, and all they said was for me to walk out or have the Uber driver walk in—without explaining how far it was or how to get there. Even when I was clearly unwell from low blood sugar and asked them to speak to the driver directly, they remained passive, waiting for me to keep asking question after question before giving minimal help. If the hotel knows that Uber cannot access the property after a certain time, it’s basic courtesy to inform guests—especially those in the lobby—so they can plan...
Read more"All style but no substance" as the saying goes from check-in for our one night stay till check out. I wonder why the hotel employ staff who are impolite, as front desk staff. She was certainly in a great hurry to check us in via the free standing check-in terminal. Hurriedly provided us with a poorly designed map of the area including the Cultural centre next door - all in Chinese language. Luckily, Google translate was more helpful than the front desk staff!
The high price for the accommodation do not commensurate with the out-dated decor, rather thin wall of the room, and a very tired looking bathroom. As our room was near a water feature, there were lots of some sort of flying gnats but there was a insect screen door and a mosquito coil lit up in the evening. We were unfortunate to have screaming and unruly children as our next door neighbour. Finally, we managed to get some sleep after our neighbours settled down, and later woken up by the wonderful dawn choruses of birds.
Poorly sign-posted to various sections of the development - no sign...
