This tented camp does not meet any kind of standards you would expect at this price point and we had an absolutely dreadful one-night stay, after which we asked to be relocated by our tour company. There really isn't much to be positive about this place.||At first we were given a room with a broken bed (so you were laying at an angle). After some discussion we were moved from a family room to two double rooms, which were in a bad condition. Termites had made the wooden bed frame their home and they (and their droppings) were all over the bedsheets. Additionally the bedsheets were stained with blood and other substances. The manager then tried to argue that their sheets are dried outside but they were clearly just not changed from the last customer. When we asked to speak to our driver/guide, the manager at first refused to get him involved at all costs and only after being persistant, sent someone to get him from the guides tent. After at first being told there are no family rooms available, we were then moved to another free family tent (which was very strange). Here we stayed a night eventhough the room was not clean and the bed sheets did not fully cover the matress.||Eventhough, they claimed to send someone to collect you from your tent when it is dark, we had to walk to the main tent by ourselves after waiting for more than 5 min (it was a 1 min walk at most).||The "restaurant" was dirty with a dead mouse in front of the door (was there for multiple hours) and the food was not labelled or explained what it was. The vegetarian in our group was served meat even after they asked if anyone had any food restrictions at check-in.||Unfortunately, after all of this the manager did not feel the need to even apologize. and kept finding excuses.||Rooms:|Very dirty, broken furniture (bed, water tap), dirty bedsheets (which also do not fully cover the matress)||Location:|The location is actually pretty good, right in the middle of the action with many interesting animals nearby.||Staff:|The manager was extremely unfriendly and so were some of the staff. Noone really bothered to fix any of the issues. "Security" was absent, which should not be the case for an unfenced camp.||Food:|Not the best quality and basically no options. Vegetarian was served meat dishes and none of the food at the buffet was labelled/explained for served lunch. The packed breakfast contained badly burnt pancakes and undercooked bacon.||Considering you are paying more than 200$ per person/night you would expect a lot more from this camp. For this price the quality is simply...
Read moreThis company was terrible. We were supposed to reach another tent camp of the same company placed in the middle of nowhere (Serengeti Kusini). With our driver we rescued another vehicle that was stuck in no man's land and it took us two hours of tries to eventually realise the car was going nowhere. We took the people we saved in our car, but it was too late to reach Kusini before sunset, so we accompanied them to South Serengeti Ndutu lodge owned by the same company and asked if it was possible to either sleep there or for some of them who knew the way to the other lodge to escort us since it's not at all easy to find and it was getting dark. The manager deputy (because the one on charge was drunk) wrote to his company chat group, but after receiving no answer after two hours (and with the local ranger saying that it was now too dark and dangerous to try to reach the other place) he gave us a tent (with a broken window that made it freezing inside). The next morning they told us that we had to pay almost 400$ for that night, despite never saying anything the night before and never giving us the chance to decide if we wanted to try to reach our lodge before dark. They treated us as a bother and not as clients until it was time to pay, and they didn't even give our driver a blanket to cover himself during the cold night, or water to wash in the morning. Overall extremely disappointed and would never recommend this...
Read moreDifferent than the other 3 places I stayed at owned by Paradise & Wilderness. There was no check-in form or check-out form to fill out. They seemed to be less attentive to food running out. I arrived after the sun went down and left early before the sun came out so I cannot comment on the surroundings.||There was no one to walk me to the front when I had to checkout at 5:30 am so I walked myself.||It took a while for the shower to warm up but it's ok as this is no surprise being in Africa.||The tents are spaced out but because it's just tents with no insulation, you can hear when someone coughs or is talking.||I will say my favorite thing about this place is they had the best lamb chops. I went for...
