My friend and I stayed here for two days and we were beyond disappointed. The hotel is very overpriced and the services and food provided are subpar. Food and drinks are priced quite high for the region and the quality was very unimpressive. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable and there is no AC in the room! It was very hard to sleep due to the high heat and humidity in the room at night. We have stayed in 3 other mid-budget hotels this trip and all of them had in room AC units. WiFi never worked anywhere around the hotel, pool or restaurant which was very frustrating given the cost of the stay. The hotel staff and management were not accommodating with the check in process and it took us over 45 minutes to get our room ready. At check out we asked for a delayed check out for a couple hours due to our flight departure and they said no. The hotel had 6 guest including us with accommodation for over 75. They made no attempts to be welcoming or helpful to our group.
After hiking Kilimanjaro and Safari we were looking forward to the spa the hotel marketed to us and it was awful. I have received pedicures in many countries and have never been so disappointed. It was a complete joke! Not to mention all of the spa services were significantly overpriced. My toddler could have given me a better pedicure.
Some of these thing may have been acceptable, however, at over $250 a night for a simple room I expected I much nicer and luxurious experience. We stayed the night before at Summit Lodge in Arusha for $36 a night and they offered better amenities at a fraction of the cost and the owner and quality of service and food was much kinder and better quality. I have traveled all over the world and have never been so disappointed in a hotel experience at this high of a night cost. I highly suggest looking elsewhere if you are looking for a luxurious experience and to get what you are paying for! This hotel will nickel and dime you for absolutely everything and their amenities are not worth the nightly cost. I have never left a bad review on a hotel stay in the past, I just could not share my experience in hopes others can book else where for a better time on...
Read moreHonestly we didn't know what to expect from this place since it was only supposed to be for the last night before we flew back. So we were very very surprised by this beautiful place. ||The Lodge is beautiful and the garden around it breathtaking. It was also the only Lodge where we could walk around even at night our own and we enjoyed that a lot. There are many beautiful birds, DikDiks and mercats on the property and we loved watching these animals (and the mercats being cheeky and trying to steal food from the buffet!). ||The rooms were clean and functional. Everything you need. |There was also a poo, which we didnt use, but looked good also. ||The food was wonderful. At dinnere you get different options for starters, mains and dessert and put together your meal. It was all very delicous. |But boy oh boy...the breakfast buffet was what was my highlight. It was honestly the best we have had on our trip. |The staff was also very nice and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. ||We were able to stay the one night and then keep the room for the next day for a small fee. This was really great because it allowed us to go to the very close Arusha NP for a few hours, have lunch and then take a shower in our rooms before going to...
Read moreWe stayed two nights in Arumeru River Lodge while on safari in Tanzania. We were very pleased with the warm welcome and the kindness of the hosts! The rooms are cosy, the outdoors are very pretty and the pool side is perfect to unwind at the end of the day. The little dik-dik grazing and the many monkeys inthe trees around yet added to the general experience! ||We did regret the outdated and not so clean showers, as well as the first meal we had there: a full menu was imposed on us without giving the opportunity to chose only a main meal, eventhough we were not very hungey. That did get us a bit mad because it cost way more that what the agency had told us. ||Thank you very much fir the...
