First and foremost, I love the mission of the Lodge. The fact that they work towards improvement for the Maasai women in the area is amazing. Second, the people working at the Lodge are terrific. Susan, in particular, makes you feel at home with good conversations and nice home-cooked meals. Third, the facilities are perfect. Everything you need is ready at hand and you get the perfect combination of authentic experience and comfort.
I stayed in the tents, which are great if you’re travelling on a budget. They are affordable and comfortable with nice mattresses, duvets and mosquito nets. You also have toilet and bathing facilities in connection with the tents.
The traditional Maasai huts were unfortunately fully booked but Susan was kind enough to show me one before I left. These look absolutely amazing with cozy beds and private washroom. I’ll definitely have to try them out next time!

Read moreI had the pleasure of joining the two activities of wild safari by motorbike and climbing the Longido Mountain. Both activities have my warmest recommendations.
The wild safari was such an authentic and magical experience of exploring the pure and wild savannah, exploring giraffes, zebras and elephants in their natural habitat alongside passing by several Maasai bomas (small villages) in the midst of the stunning surroundings and nature in the Longido districts.
Climbing Longido Mountain was a truly unique and nature rewarding experience, as you throughout the climb enter several different cilmates on your way to the top - spanning from dry and dusty paths to rainforest-like climate. The view at the top is outstanding, as you see savannah, plenty of circles of Maasai Bomas but...
Read moreWonderful experience! Stayed here for two nights, but would have loved to stay longer. This place is truly magical. We got a unique opportunity to experience authentic Maasai culture in and around the boma. From being greeted by the most amazing singing Maasai women, to enjoying a lunch in the common area and listening to Maasai stories around the fireplace in the dark - and much more! Also, the area around the boma is nice for exploring both wildlife and nature! Can...
