We stayed here for one night during a safari. Strangely, the staff at the lodge told my safari guide they had seen me crying, which was not true. I do not know where they got this idea from, perhaps they mistook me for someone else. This strange comment led to worry from my safari guide as he tried to find out what was wrong while I had no idea what was happening. I would suggest staff should not tell strange lies about guests. Also, the policy of this lodge is not to allow safari guides to eat at the same table as the group they are guiding. We requested this (common in other lodges), and they refused, stating the restaurant was full. However, this was visibly not the case. This policy feels elitist and unfair, and we had hoped to spend the final night of our safari chatting with our guide. We have heard from others that this is because the guides will know when the lodge is severely overcharging for things like drinks, so they keep them separate to try to rip off tourists. Indeed, the drinks were extremely expensive at this lodge, and they did not have any Coke Zero/Diet Coke. Apart from these issues, the room at the lodge was nice and spacious, but there was not a great...

This hotel was gorgeous! We’re a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids ages 13 and 10) and had an entire hut to ourselves, although half the hut would’ve been enough space (but having the second bathroom was quite nice!). Each half had 1 king bed and 2 single beds (all enclosed in mosquito netting), a full bathroom, a sitting area, desk, and balcony. Beds were very comfortable, outlets for charging conveniently located, plenty of mineral water for drinking and brushing teeth, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion/bug spray, and a flashlight for walking around at night. Landscaping was tropical and beautiful, pool was gorgeous! We were welcomed with a yummy drink and the staff was very friendly. Dinner was 4 courses and delicious - the vegetable samosas and soups were definitely my favorite! Breakfast was great and included eggs cooked to order. We had a pleasant stay and...

We stayed here the night before going to Ngorongoro for safari and the overall resort is super nice and the rooms are very spacious and the view is impeccable. However the service seemed to be a bit too much focused on business and less in the original Tanzania spirit. When ordering drinks for dinner the server did not pay attention and seemed to be only interested in billing thus asked for our room number 4times. Then rushed into a completely different direction and then after some wait we got the entire order of drinks wrong. The receptionist was also very business oriented at check out and barely spoke to me and then as soon as I had given the money called the next person even though I was not done putting my wallet away. It felt quite business like and less warm as it was in other lodges. Overall still okay and as I...
