Meru House Lekisilai — Hotel in Arusha

We stayed here on two occasions during our safari. Two nights mid way and one night before going to Zanzibar. It was probably the best guesthouse we have stayed in anywhere in the world. It set in beautiful gardens with a very nice pool and some wonderful birds. The accommodation is very well designed and very comfortable. The fresh food is delicious and the staff, Lucy and Muba (the Chef), do everything to make your stay perfect.||Sandra, the owner, kindly arranged for a local bird guide to take us out. It is fantastic for bird watchers.||Beasley's Lark can be found on a reserve about 45 minutes drive away.||We look forward to returning...

Unfortunately we only spent one night at Meru House, due to changes in our travel plans. Defenitely to short a stay.||They were so nice to us, despite a late arrival and an early morning start, the team spoilt us as good as they could in the short time, had a very late supper ready for us and a fantastic breakfast before sunrise.||Thank you so much for that.||The house, garden, the pool it´s just fantastic, defenitely worth a longer stay, just the perfect souroundings to relax after a long flight or a long trip iun a 4WD. We loved Meru House! The location is superb, away from the hustle of Arusha and surrounded by banana and coffee plantations and more. Our only regret was to not have had another day there to enjoy a long walk into the hills and surrounding fields. |The interior is very stylish in an understated way with beautifully curated Tanzanian furniture and art. The bedrooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds and great layout. |The food is delicious and fresh, clearly prepared with love and pride by Ibrahim. We were very warmly welcome by Joyce and team, a real oasis of tranquility before and after our safari.|The perfect Arusha...
