We stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of our safari trip. This hotel is part of the TWC chain, where we had previously stayed at their other property in Lake Burunge. As such, we were already familiar with the overall setup.
The check-in process could be improved in terms of attention to detail. After a tiring 5-hour drive from Serengeti, guests don’t want to sit through a lengthy introduction, especially when we have already visited the sister hotel. It would be more helpful to focus on the key information, such as happy hour time, the coffee tour schedule, and meal times.
By the time we were informed about the coffee tour (which was a one-hour tour scheduled for 5 PM), it was already 5:40 PM, making it a moot point.
The room itself was large and spacious, with a rustic farmhouse feel. The hot water pressure was strong, and we could refill our water bottles from the cooler in the room. Tea was also provided. Although we tried to sleep in, we were woken up by the sounds of nature, particularly the chirping of birds.
The food was good; I particularly enjoyed the veggie stir-fry, which had a wide variety of vegetable options. However, since we were only there for one night, I can see it being repetitive.
The Wi-Fi was the biggest drawback for me. There is a limit of 5MB, so if you leave the Wi-Fi on overnight to sync your photos, it will use up all the bandwidth. When this happens, you have to rely on cellular data or switch to your laptop.
Lastly, while the grounds were beautiful, we couldn’t fully enjoy them since we were only there for one night. Our room was also quite far from the main building, and despite being fit, we had to budget about 10 minutes for a walk each way. If you forgot something in your room, returning for it would not be feasible. The pool area also didn't seem very lively, especially compared to the one at...

Read moreMy 3 adult children and I stayed in a stand-alone cottage for 3 nights that consisted of 2 rooms (Chui and Mambo, I love that the rooms are names of animals in Swahili). Beautiful decor, most comfortable beds with mosquito nets, and the best thing was the fireplace. It was chilly for the nights we were there in early-June, so we requested they light the fireplace after dinner. Such a special treat to enjoy the fire and warm up the room. Another treat is the turn-down service and on cool nights they put a hot water bottle in your bed! So heavenly!||The property is absolutely beautiful and you can take a tour of the coffee farm and walk around the property. You can choose to eat on the large outdoor balcony (with fire pits for cool evenings) or inside. For breakfast there are buffet items and also a made-to-order station for crepes and eggs. For lunch they packed to-go bags (you choose the items) on safari days, and one day we returned early and had lunch outside on the expansive grass area and they set up a table for us with a tablecloth and brought everything to us. For dinner there are buffet items and a made-to-order noodle/rice stir-fry station. I have lots of food allergies and they were always prepared with a clean wok and spatula in case I wanted something made-to-order. The fruit and dessert tables were expansive and a wonderful selection. We had the best mangos and papayas here.||The staff are wonderful and so accommodating. We would stay here again in...
