Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Arusha

My recent stay at Ngorongoro Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary, and I'm delighted to share my exceptional experience with fellow travellers. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

The welcome we received was nothing short of amazing. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a team of singing smiling staff members who made us feel like family returning home. It was as if they had been eagerly anticipating our arrival, and their genuine enthusiasm was truly heart-warming.

The staff at Ngorongoro Lodge are the true gems of this remarkable establishment. Throughout our stay, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly remarkable. It's evident that the staff take immense pride in what they do, and it reflects in every interaction.

I must take a moment to single out a staff member who went out of his way to make our stay even more special – Mahu. Mahu's dedication to ensuring our happiness was truly exceptional. He anticipated our needs, offered invaluable local insights, and made every effort to ensure that our experience was tailor-made to our preferences. His warm and genuine personality left a lasting impression on us, and we are immensely grateful for his outstanding service.

Now, let's talk about the accommodation. The lodge offers accommodation of the highest standard. Our room was a luxurious sanctuary that exceeded all our expectations. The attention to detail in the room's design, the quality of furnishings, and the breathtaking views from our private balcony were nothing short of spectacular. We felt pampered and relaxed throughout our entire stay.

The lodge's amenities and common areas were equally impressive. The dining experience was exquisite, with a diverse menu of delectable dishes that catered to various tastes. We savored each meal while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Absolutely terrible experience! Dishonest staff, unprepared, and overpriced. They tried to sneakily overcharge me at the bar by bringing a drink without alcohol topped with ice. When I said please don't add so much ice i cant taste alcohol, she changed it. After I finished it she said we are charging double because I put 2 shots. Why they told it to me after I drank it?! Workers were unfriendly, and service was awful. During dinner and breakfast, there were no lights, no backup generators, no candles, just total chaos. I ate an apple I’m allergic to because the salad was too dark to see, and there were no labels. Nobody was there to ask.||||At checkout, I thought they’d comped the drink for all the issues, but then they kept asking for more money, including for the overcharged drink and one with no alcohol. I went back twice, they said I was all good, but then as my tour group was leaving, they stopped me again. It felt like a scam. The manager did nothing to resolve this and failed to ensure guests were treated properly. The whole place is a mess, with bugs in drinks, dark meals, and no regard for guest safety or comfort. Save your money and go somewhere else. Im actually editing the review to add more and a photo of the bug floating in the glass. The the previous review had a “response” from hotel which was pathetic. They blame shifted, tried to justify the scam, and denyed the bug in the drink saying it was our mistake for not letting people know. We did let people know. Also they mentioned I left good servey?! Servey was done in the dark and they insisted for us to fill it even though nobody wanted. told me not to worry about the scam charge then after i gave my review they said no you need to pay for their mistake. Complete scam and worst of all is their response. If there is a problem learn to address it rather than blame shift it on a guest. Horrible manager. Will let everyone know about this terrible hotel and hope other guests including the person with a bug in the drink will also leave one. No apologies...

We are in awe. At the beginning of our honeymoon we visited Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National park.

For our stay we chose the Oldeani Mountain Lodge and I would recommend anyone to do the same. We were incredibly lucky as the place is the definition of peace and relaxation and is the perfect spot to chill after a long game drive day.

They didn't spare any luxury for the rooms or any other area in the lodge. Everything was impeccably clean, and the food was out of this world made from the best quality local produce.

If we are ever again lucky enough to find ourselves in this area, we will look no further and come straight back to the place that made us so happy.

Finally, but most importantly, we must mention the amazing staff. I'm coming from Greece and if we know one thing, that's tourism. It must be said that the level of hospitality that we found at the Oldeani Mountain Lodge is purely unmatched. My wife had her birthday on our second day, and they did everything they could to make it as special as possible for her.

We would therefore like to say a very special thank you to Rehema and Anthony that oversaw our visit, as well as the rest of the staff for this incredible experience.
