Design is brilliant, and pool is nice; the tents have a nice view on a farmers valley which is on the far edge of Ngorongoro conservation area, no wildlife to spot. Tents spacious with a good bathroom. Very helpful staff.|Breakfast decent; for those on FB they can compose their own lunchbox. What kills the quality however are maintenance and dinner:|* The railing of the tent verandah has a sign 'do not lean', not handy with e.g. kids|* Even less safe are the worn-out tent zippers, one of us fell as the broken zipper pin clung itself to her shoe|* Not to talk about the verandah furniture; the third sitdown of a 85 kg tourist made it collapse (broken rusted metal), happily without further human damage||Having a buffet dinner with soup, a small tempura as 2nd course, small dessert and then salad with mains sounds good. But the main course is ONE, exactly ONE, meat with veggie sauce and then rice. Ridiculous!||Seems like pennywise poundfoolish management, turning a former 3-star into a 1-star...

I stayed here on the last night of a 2 week safari tour with G adventures and unfortunately this was the worst accommodations of the whole trip - my entire tour group agreed. None of us were able to get much sleep at all, the tents were very close together so you could hear people snoring, flushing toilets, and a particularly noisy threesome next door speaking very loudly and having sex! And the dogs..the call and response of wild dogs (one sounded like it was parked next to my tent) kept us all up until about 3 am. The tents were not as nicely constructed as other camps we went to and there wasn't the personal services we had like at other camps such as putting down the mosquito nets and closing the tents (I can't speak to the cost/level of service comparisons between accommodations because I didn't book but the costs of the different hotels booked by the tour company were...

We had a truly memorable stay for last night on our return from safari. We arrived in good time to be able to enjoy the view from our wonderful tent accommodation.||Our tent was comfortable and had everything we needed.|The infinity pool looked inviting but instead we chose to simply take in the surroundings. 2 nights would have been even better.||We had an opportunity to chat with very helpful pleasant staff members (cannot remember names and included assistant manager) at breakfast which is always a great part of the experience. ||The coffee, dinner, breakfast, and a box lunch provided were good.||We were well looked after and would definitely...

Delivers on 3 stars. Agree with the other comments. Rooms are clean and tidy. Very comfortable beds and nice hot showers. An improvement would be a bigger bottle of water! Food was tasty and similar standard to most I’ve had so far in Tanzania. Drinks prices a little higher than most but not outrageous. The staff were really friendly and helpful for my short stay. They provided a nice boxed lunch for us too.

I really enjoyed my stay here where I was able to feel like I was outdoors but still very comfortable with also a hotel like feel. The location was a little difficult to find along and the roads were a bit rough to get to but once you made it, it was a nice location to relax. The service was good and they had a selection of beverages for purchase along with great foods with a different menu each evening.

This lodge is off the beaten path. It is tranquil and beautiful. We stayed one night here on safari. I would love to spend more time here. Absolutely gorgeous. It is a struggle to get up and down the mud roads during the rainy season. So consider this.
