Very good food, nice chalets and very quiet site. Whole site looks really nice, you can see monkeys.

Chalets: Comfy bed, thick blankets that you need, good mosquito net around bed. Big bathroom, separate toilet is a plus. Few issues in the room were resolved quickly, if possible. But water in the shower is only a dribble, so even though hot water is available, you cannot really have a hot shower. Small animals can and will get in the Chalet and rooms, as it is located in the middle of nature. Would have been nice to have a comforter or plush blankets for inside and outside to sit.

Very friendly service people. But only waitress at restaurant did not understand English well and we had to order stuff several times because she forgot it even though not a lot of people. Would have been better to inform us when there is buffet or a la card breakfast, need to plan in the morning for...

Having stayed at Under the Shade twice, both experience has been one to remember; it was simply spectacular. The lodge is set over acres of greenery where nature surrounds your every move. This is a perfect escape from the busy city lifestyle to a more relaxed therapeutic environment.

The reception upon arrival is warm and welcoming. Staff paid attention to details and went above and beyond to ensure guests felt welcomed. We were assisted to our rooms which was a sight to behold. The rooms are cozy, well decorated with precision details and spacious.

Let’s start with something positive. The garden is beautiful and pleasant, but that’s it. We visited the restaurant buffet. Small variety of choices, quality level clearly below average but pricing was certainly at the top class, 52.000 per head. No quality / price ratio here at all. Milkshakes were literally undrinkable, had to leave them them on table. Any single thing you needed to ask for, starting from cutlery, napkins etc. Staying at the lodge must be nice but visiting the restaurant in itself was such a dismal experience. Good luck...
