This place excelled in every category: Accommodation - due to a flooding last year, they had to rebuild the entire camp. It is now super-posh, unlike the older pics. Each "tent" is very spacious which includes an electric sliding rooftop so you can view the stars at night! There is also a shower (unlimited hot water!) , running toilet and lots of shelf space. Super comfortable linens, pillows and bathrobes. Location - right in Lake Manyara National Park, the camp is by a waterfall and river. You'll eat your meals with Incredible views, get out on your safari bright and early before the day crowds show up, and sleep to animal noises just outside your tent. Food - the food here and at the other Wayo camp in Serengeti was the best food we had the entire trip. Every meal was incredible. Staff - you won't meet a more welcoming, warm, and hospitable group of people. There are over 20+ people on-site but our dealings were mostly with Moses, Noah and Vincent (let's call them MNV). Moses also took us hiking up the waterfall when we had some free time. Spent 2 nights but missed them after we left. Small touches - a hot water bottle in your bed each night, MNV greeted us every time we came back from a safari. Put blankets for each of us in the open jeep for our night safari. This is the Four Seasons of "camping"!

My family and I had the trip of a lifetime this January and stayed at two Wayo African Green camps In Tanzania - one in Lake Manyara and the second Serengeti National Park. Wayo run top notch safaris and camps. The accommodations were excellent - def high end camping. The staff and food was outstanding. Most importantly our guide Gabriel Sanguyan was truly 10 out of 10. He was with for the full week driving us off the main roads to see every kind of animal and bird we were interested in. His deep knowledge of the terrain, wildlife and TZ culture plus his great sense of humour and amazing storytelling made this a trip we will always remember. Lake Manyara offers night safari's and that was worth doing as well !! Thank you to the Wayo team!!

Die is heerlijk. Ontbijt in de ochtend aan de rivierbedding. Was geweldig 🤩

This is the most amazing camp! Everything about it was wonderful and my family had the best time here. I honestly felt that I was in paradise. The location is amazing, being off the main track, so that the majority of people wouldn't even know it's there. Being right next to a waterfall, and river (though it had mostly dried up by the time we visited, meant that different animals visited at different times of the day. When we first arrived in the afternoon, the baboons were there to greet us. . .well, to get to the water. In the evening, we'd sit and watch as the elephants walked up on the opposite side of the 'river' to us, barely 20 metre away. At night, the flashlights shone on leopards. During the night I was awoken to an elephant trumpeting. In the morning, I was woken by a lion roaring. Absolutely surreal and such an amazing buzz! Lake Manyara National Park is incredible, with four different ecosystems, so you are able to view a wealth of wildlife. We saw so many different animals, including the famous tree-climbing lions and leopards. But my favourites will always be the elephants.||For a 'simple' camp, there is nothing simple about it. The 'tents' are luxurious and what a thrill to have an open air en suite! Glamping at its best! The 'mess' tent had a lounge area, which was very comfortable and all the guests would sit around the 'bush TV' in the evening. It was heaven! As for the staff, they were all incredible, so kind and thoughtful. On each of the two days we were there one of them led us up the waterfall. My 10-year old daughter loved it! We came back for lunch one day and the staff had set up a special table near the water, under the tree. It was so special and very much appreciated. The food was so tasty as well, and so much of it. Every meal was fantastic. You certainly don't go hungry. We had the most amazing time at Manyara Green Camp and I will be forever grateful to the staff for making this such a special experience. I actually cried when I left as I didn't want to leave. I just wish we'd booked an extra night so that I could have spent a whole day...
