This is the most amazing camp! Everything about it was wonderful and my family had the best time here. I honestly felt that I was in paradise. The location is amazing, being off the main track, so that the majority of people wouldn't even know it's there. Being right next to a waterfall, and river (though it had mostly dried up by the time we visited, meant that different animals visited at different times of the day. When we first arrived in the afternoon, the baboons were there to greet us. . .well, to get to the water. In the evening, we'd sit and watch as the elephants walked up on the opposite side of the 'river' to us, barely 20 metre away. At night, the flashlights shone on leopards. During the night I was awoken to an elephant trumpeting. In the morning, I was woken by a lion roaring. Absolutely surreal and such an amazing buzz! Lake Manyara National Park is incredible, with four different ecosystems, so you are able to view a wealth of wildlife. We saw so many different animals, including the famous tree-climbing lions and leopards. But my favourites will always be the elephants.||For a 'simple' camp, there is nothing simple about it. The 'tents' are luxurious and what a thrill to have an open air en suite! Glamping at its best! The 'mess' tent had a lounge area, which was very comfortable and all the guests would sit around the 'bush TV' in the evening. It was heaven! As for the staff, they were all incredible, so kind and thoughtful. On each of the two days we were there one of them led us up the waterfall. My 10-year old daughter loved it! We came back for lunch one day and the staff had set up a special table near the water, under the tree. It was so special and very much appreciated. The food was so tasty as well, and so much of it. Every meal was fantastic. You certainly don't go hungry. We had the most amazing time at Manyara Green Camp and I will be forever grateful to the staff for making this such a special experience. I actually cried when I left as I didn't want to leave. I just wish we'd booked an extra night so that I could have spent a whole day...
