Stayed here for one night. When we got there we were excited because the room looked nice and clean, therefore the one star. Our experience of the hotel was completely ruined by the staff though. When we arrived no one gave us any information really - you have to guess what the next step is and you have to ask about everything. We quickly discovered that there was no hot water and no wifi although they advertised with having wifi in the whole building. In the morning the phone in the room rang at 7.30. We tried to hang up since we had a very long day of travelling the day before and were exhausted (and we did not have to check out before 11AM). The phone kept ringing until we picked up and they answered us by saying "breakfast". Again we had to question them whether the breakfast would come to the room or if we had to go anywhere to get it. When we booked the room they said breakfast wasn't included so it was just annoying to be woken up early. Well, it would have been fine if the breakfast was good but it wasn't, it was really bad. You would think that everything ended here but no. When we had to check out, we came to the reception and they told us that we had already paid online when we booked it. So we thought there would be no problems. We stayed in the reception for 45 minutes to use the reception's wifi to work some things out before our flight. Then when we took our bags to leave they stopped us and said that we hadn't paid anything. A bit weird but we double checked and it wad true so we wanted to pay by credit card. Here they told us that they did not have a machine and we had to get the money in an ATM. It was our last day in Tanzania so we did not want to withdraw more money and pay the fee for that. When we booked the hotel we made sure that we could pay by credit card as it was stated in the booking and our confirmation email. After and hour long discussion where nothing really happened they also claimed a higher price and that the price we were told was wrong Luckily we had the email with all of the details and could prove how much we had to pay. After this my husband followed one of their staff to several ATM's to get the money (for 45 minutes) but no luck with the ATM's. When they got back you could only imagine how stressed we were due to the fact that we had to go straight to the airport and by this time the clock was 1PM so we had already stayed in the reception for two hours. We had to be very consistent and harsh and told them that they had to send us a link or anywhere we could pay online and we would do it. But they did not want to so they send us with a taxi (that we had to pay for) to a mall where we could withdraw the money and give them to the driver. This took around 25 minutes. So by this time we had spent 2.5 hours trying to pay them. And then we had to arrange a taxi to the airport from there ourselves and run through the airport completely stressed out by this situation. So, we definitely not recommend this place to anyone. If you chose to stay there anyways make sure you have evidence for what you have to pay and don't pay them more than this as they will try to make you. And make sure...
Read moreUpdate** The manager (Elias) is very arrogant, I asked to meet him when checking out and he kept me waiting at the reception for more than 20 mins. Pray you don’t face any issue at the hotel the manager is just useless and wont help. Receptions were kind but should be more competent and aware and not just reserve rooms that have issues, as per the manager at least 3 rooms have issues.
We were driving from Arusha to Dar and on our way we called to do reservation, they said it was early and we needed to call at 10 am, so we waited but again they couldn’t reserve a room and said we call at noon, when we called back, finally they reserved a room for us, now thats not the worst part, After driving for a whole day from Arusha we arrived at 7.30pm and checked in our room. As soon i sat on the bed i realized the bed was so uncomfortable so i opened the duvet and realized the top cushion of the mattress was missing and it was literally sheets on springs🫨, i immediately called the reception and the lady called the manager and she confirmed that the top cushion was dirty from the previous guests and they would give it to us tomorrow morning🤯 i mean they expected us to sleep on springs and give us a proper bed when we wake up and ready to check out😡we even tried to give them a solution and told them to give us extra duvets to sleep on but they dint have any extra, makes you wonder if duvets are really washed after every use if they cant even spare one. So am now laying on top of the only duvet on the bed an will have to use the inner sheet to cover. The manager is not on site and wont pick up our call. So there u have it book this hotel at your own risk or at least check the room they give you before paying because they refused to refund us and wont give us another room. Also filthy carpet...
Read moreI was attracted to this property based on proximity of where friends and relatives were located. It’s location can be of concern as it is on Uhuru Road which is a very busy road 24 hours and the traffic noise can be a concern for light sleepers. Best you bring earplugs for a more comfortable sleep. It is a new hotel and so there are few things that are still to be made available in the room such as a closet for cloths, etc. The restaurant staff was a bit harsh in their responses when asked about availability of typical breakfast foods (bread, butter, jam, etc.). They served mostly local foods that were boiled cassava, mandazi, etc. Other staff were very helpful and friendly and were always ready to help. Unfortunately they did not have enough authority to resolve these issues. About 5 days into my stay I met the shift manager Madam Monica and told her the issues and she was very humble, apologetic, and promised to rectify the issues. The next morning at the Restaurant there was big improvement and other choices of food! ...Thank you Monica!||Overall this is a nice clean hotel and practically new with friendly staff. If you don't mind the traffic noise and the limited room facilities, then this hotel is reasonably priced and comfortable. Deluxe room is better with a king size bed. For the price, I would stay here again if my need is in the area of Buguruni...
