We stayed here for two nights during our Serengeti safari. The tents were basic but serviceable, the beds were surprisingly comfortable and we slept very well. The first night was rough because they put our two teens in our room (4 is a tight squeeze) because they said that they were too young to be in their own tent (park rules?). But the next AM they remedied that and it was better from there. It is an impressive operation as the campsite is literally surrounded by plains. The staff are SO nice and accommodating. The meals were absolutely delicious. I don’t know how they do it. There is a place to charge electronics and little wifi near the dining tent (a hot spot they can turn on for you). We heard that there was a cheetah that was spotted right by the dining tent. In fact, on our last morning, we were in the middle of breakfast when a staff member alerted our guide that a cheetah had been spotted nearby. We literally dropped our forks and rushed to our vehicle and sped off to the field adjacent to the campsite. We watched the cheetah stalk a group of gazelles for an hour and then he captured one within throwing distance of where we had been having breakfast. Watching the cheetah eating the gazelle under a tree right by camp was a memorable end to our Serengeti safari. If you are looking for a basic camp, well located, with great food and warm staff, we would recommend this...

The light was vanishing fast and the tracks were slippery with mud because of the downpour. After a while, we landed at a camp only to discover that it was not ours. Soon, a telephonic chat with Moody cleared all doubts and we reached the camp. All this while although it was drizzling, Moody was waiting for us with lantern in his hand. Reaching the camp took away all the fatigue. Our tent was impeccably arranged. Taking a hot shower we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at the reception. ||||Despite being in a core area, the tented camp has everything that one might require for a comfortable living. From hot water to high-speed internet, from gourmet cuisine to personalized care and attention. Next morning, the chef made something special for us - Onion Bhajias! Interacting with the staff was even more interesting. Led by the ever attentive Moody, the Kananga team with Chef Katunzi, Emmanuel, Steven, and Bonny took great care during our stay. We will definitely revisit Serengeti, sooner than later, and one reason for the...
