One Nature - Wow. just WOW.||I can categorically say this was the most luxuriously romantic, exclusive and stunning travel experience we ever had.||From the minute our flight landed at Seronera airstrip - albeit very delayed - (do not EVER buy flights from rogue, fraudulent As Salaam Air - check my other reviews), everything done by One Nature was MAGICAL and pristine.||Andrew, our phenomenal guide for the 4 days we stayed at One nature, was waiting for us at the airport with a feast, delicious home made cookies, fresh coffee and our favourite - Amarula!|He offered us straight away to either take us straight to the lodge to rest, or enjoy a 'welcome safari' first. We opted for the second option, and boy, we did not regretted it one bit - being able to see lions, elephants, giraffes AND the elusive leopard even before we got the the lodge was definitely a WOW moment.||Arriving at One Nature is an experience to behold, I don't want to spoil the surprise, but we were breathless with the welcome we received, with all the staff there for us, and, a very special performance from chef Joseph - unforgettable.||The One Nature reserve is unique in a million ways, but in our opinion, the absolute KEY to their success is THEIR PEOPLE.||Emmy and Diana, took care of everything from our daily adventure schedules to our favourite foods and dietary preferences, catering for everything, including amazing treats and things we didn't even know we needed! They were always a step ahead, always pre-empting our wishes.||Emmy organized our daily massages with Eva, which were absolutely unreal, and Diane made sure we had a very decadent bubble bath and a glass of champagne and the fire roaring each and every time I returned to the lodge. I mean, honestly, unreal.||You can't fault ANYTHING in this unreal place, where every single detail is planned and catered to perfection.||The accommodation for instance, is WAY above even the BEST 5 stars hotels in Paris/London/NY, with a copper bathtub overlooking the vast wilderness, power showers (2 - one inside one outside), impeccable linen, and probably the best bed/mattress I ever slept in - all of this inside a tent, in the middle of the great migration path.|The room is so perfectly decorated, spacious, comfortable and luxurious, perfectly located, it is hard to leave for the safaris.||Safaris: needlessly to say, the Serengeti is a league of its own when it comes to wildlife/conservation/experience - I have done south africa safaris, and can categorically say the Serengeti is WAY superior - in every way.|The fact we had Andrew, an incredible private guide/driver the entire time, extremely knowledgeable and skilled, made the entire experience even more unreal.||We did see and experience EVERYTHING we expected and more - the wildlife, Masaai culture, history of the Serengeti and it's people, foods, costume, music... We are humbled and honoured to have had experienced it.||Our most sincere gratitude for Stephen, the always smiling, incredible manager and all he does to keep his impeccable team happy and running One Nature with perfection.||Our respect and gratitude to our guide Andrew, who went above and beyond to give us the most special time, from breakfast with wild flamingos to chasing the elusive leopards, making sure we were always warm, safe, with a truck always filled with amazing snacks, drinks and surprises.||Our love and gratitude to chef Upendo and her team, for being the sweetest, most incredible people, cooking with so much love and devotion, catering for all our favourite dishes.||To Eva, Emmy and Diane, thank you for everything you did to make us feel we were special.||To chef Joseph, the best dancer and singer in Africa: you are the beating heart of this incredible family, and the core of happiness at One Nature - we can't wait to sing with you again!||To the incredible Masaai guides, and the entire family of One Nature, our most sincere gratitude for your time and energy - everything that is magical in that place depends on you, thank you for making this place so so so unique and unforgettable.||Our only regret is that 4 days were too little - we will be back and stay at least a week next year.|||We can't wait to be back in 2025||Much Love||C and M||PS: Stephen, don't forget our family...
Read moreI don’t know where to begin or how to describe what an exceptional and outstanding experience we had at our safari camp - One Nature, Nyaruswiga Hills, Serengeti, Tanzania. The accommodations and decor were like something out of an African safari in the 1920’s. It’s as if Hemingway himself was about to step out from one of these tents and tell you tales of his African adventures.||One Nature is more than just a luxury camp, it’s the people that sets it apart from anything I have ever experienced. We made an immediate connection with the staff and it felt like we were catching up with friends and family that we have not seen in years. ||A very special thanks goes out to Metamei and Ema (Emanuel). These two gentlemen made sure that we were taken care of on a level unmatched, even by very high-end hotels that we’ve stayed in!!!!! They were kind, friendly and embodied the legendary Tanzania hospitality that this country is known for. One day, after a long safari excursion, we arrived at our camp. Ema greeted us and we proceeded to dinner. He had learned what we liked and made sure that everything was arranged accordingly. After an exquisite dinner, we turned in for the night. When we arrived at our tent, Metamei had turned down our tent with a fire and hot water bottles in our beds. I watched my daughter slip under the covers and literally melt into the bed. I’m sure her dreams were filled with images of the great Serengeti plains and it’s amazing creatures.||Metamei and Ema, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!! We will miss you both.||We also have to thank our One Nature safari guide Gilbert. Gilbert worked extremely hard to make sure that we saw the Big 5, which we did! In one day he spotted three leopards for us! During one of those encounters, Gilbert pointed out a leopard in a tree at a distance of about a quarter of a mile! I quickly told him, Gilbert I can barely see the tree, much less the leopard! As I scanned with my binos sure enough there was a leopard exactly where he said it was! He drove us the entire week to places such as Ngorongoro Crater and the Masai Mara River to see the great migration. Even after long days of travel, his demeanor remained upbeat, energetic and it was obvious he really loves what he does. I truly believe he would have wrestled a lion in order for us to get a selfie😉. Gilbert has reached (at least in my mind) legendary status as a guide. Thank you Gilbert, our safari adventure would not have been the same without you leading us into the Serengeti. We will miss you!!!!||Lastly, thank you to the One Nature management team of Mr. Herri, Ms. Esther and Mr. Zulii! You and your staff are second to no one.||I’ve been home now for a few weeks and think of Africa often. I sometimes wonder was it all a dream? Can it be true? Can there be a camp that is in harmony with nature and provide it’s guest with such an incredible experience? There is…it’s called One Nature, Nyaruswiga Hills, Serengeti,...
Read moreOne Nature was the favorite of our 6 stays while in Tanzania. You could hardly call the accommodations tents even if the walls were canvas. My spouse does not "camp" and he was thrilled with this place. The lodge was stunning as were the extremely well appointed rooms. The website pictures do not even do it justice. The beds were so comfortable and the heated water bottle each night was a plus. As were the outdoor (as well as indoor) showers and bathrooms with Molton Brown products. We felt like we were rich travelers from the mid/early 20th century on safari with the best of everything. Hearing the animals outside of the tent at night was exhilarating and shockingly not scary as we knew the precautions the security was taking. And to be able to leave the lodge each day and be in the middle of all of the animals in minutes was perfect.||But beyond the accommodations, what we appreciated the most was the staff. They were so friendly and the service was exceptional. They even set up movie night outside while we were having dinner. We did not want to leave. And I have no idea how in the middle of the Serengeti they could provide the food and cocktails that they did. A special shout out to the chef. We have several in our family that are picky eaters and she could have been a chef in one of the finest restaurants anywhere in the world. ||The lodge was not full which we found shocking given how amazing the place was. If we ever have the chance to return to Tanzania, we can only hope that they are not fully booked so we can get a tent! We could not recommend this lodge more highly should you find yourself with the opportunity to go on Safari...
