Ronjo Camp — Hotel in Ikoma

One of the best experiences in Serengeti. The camp is amazing...in the middle of the National Park. We arrived by car and the masais (in charge of keeping us safe in the middle of this vaste park full of amazing and wild animals) took us to our tents and explained our way through the camp. They prepared hot water for our bedrooms. It’s one of the best things: there’s no hot water but the one they heat and put in a bag on top of the shower, only solar electricity and of course no WIFI, so you don’t distract yourself from nothing else but nature and wilderness. Shower was just great. Then we sat around by the fire and enjoyed the views of the park. And the sounds. You can hear the sound of the hienas so close....but we felt absolutely safe with the masais. There were three of them with torches in every direction...they know their territory and their animals and they know how to deal with them. Then we had a nice tanzanian dinner in the central tent, with a good South African wine. Enjoying still the sound of nature! Great service. Excellent staff. Beautiful scenery in the middle of the Serengeti. No hot water for shower but staff will make it available upon request in 15 mins. No Wi-Fi in the room only the main building. We had an amazing fire at night. Staff will walk you back and forth between the main building and your room regardless of time a day.
