We just came back from an unforgettable family vacation of almost three weeks in Tanzania and Zanzibar, all planned and arranged by Amani Makoka– Safari View Camp - and we could not be more grateful.
The trip was divided into three parts:
Kilimanjaro Trek – 6 days with an incredible crew of 21 people, including highly professional guides, cooks, and porters. They did everything so that we succeed in the challenge and reach the summit - carried all the gear, set up camp, cooked delicious meals, and monitored our health daily (pulse, oxygen, and well-being).
Safari – 5 days across four different national parks, with knowledgeable guides, fluent English, and endless insights about wildlife. Amani personally joined one of the vehicles to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Zanzibar – 4 days of beaches, diving, and relaxation to end the journey in paradise.
As a religious Jewish family (keeping Shabbat and Kosher), Amani’s understanding and sensitivity were outstanding. He made sure hotels were prepared in advance, Kosher food needs were respected, new cooking utensils were used during the trek, and Shabbat was spent in hotels suitable for extended stays.
On top of all this, Amani is a kind and pleasant person, highly professional, with excellent English, deep safari knowledge, and with the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
We wholeheartedly recommend Amani to anyone planning a trip to Tanzania or Zanzibar – thanks to him, we had a once-in-a-lifetime...
Read moreThis camp really is luxury! I'm a "glamper" I do not camp, but my fiance loves camping! This camp is boujee ... You get the "camping" feeling with the luxuries of a hotel! The staff walked us up to a rock on their property to watch the gorgeous sunset (a nice added gesture). The buffet style dinner's were great! They even prepared a cake for my fiance for his birthday and the whole staff came out banging pots and pans singing a traditional African birthday song! Our room was immaculately clean ... no bugs... bathroom...super comfortable bed. The tents are very well sealed so no need to worry about bugs (although the beds did have misquito nets if you are being cautious). They give you a walky talky if you need to leave your room (you are in the wild so there is always a chance for animals) and they very promptly come walk you to the main area or wherever you need to go. They lit a beautiful fire at sunset for everyone to enjoy. I can't recommend this camp enough, their service was incredible and I would recommend it to everyone! Unfortunately I took mostly videos and can't figure out how to upload them, but trust me, this place...
Read moreThis place was absolutely amazing and the staff is incredibly kind. Initially I had a certain idea of a tented camp. I never had been in one before, but I thought that a tented camp would be more basic (and that would be fine), but it was very comfortable and luxurious. Also, you go to sleep with the sounds of hyena’s and lions in the background. Every time we left the accommodation to go for a game drive, we would see lions after 400 meter of driving. And from the camp you could see giraffes and zebra’s. But you absolutely don’t need to be afraid. There is always staff awake to walk around the camp and guard the accommodation. After sunset and before sunrise you are always escorted by staff if you want to go out of your tent. And as I said, the staff is incredibly kind (and funny). Also the food was amazing. So, if you are staying in Serengeti, I cannot recommend this place enough. 10 out of 10!
This place is relatively new, so that explains the...
