This has to be the best accommodation that I stayed throughout the safari trip. First there is another Kati Kati Camp which is on Google Maps which is a duplicate I tried to submit an edit but it is still there. I was told this is a tented camp so it can pack and go and move to another location. I have to first mention about the food in this camp. It has to be the most delicious and amazing food that I have eaten in the entire trip. Every meal they do not really have a lot of dishes, but the quality is definitely there. Its buffet style but you do not have to walk to the buffet table to get the food, the staff will actually bring the food to you. Every meal was enjoyable, even the take out lunch box was innovative that they have this table you can just pick the food you want to put into your lunch box. Next is the room. Clean and very rustic. Very amazed by the high standards of the bathroom and shower even though it is makeshift. The shower will definitely be an experience to many people though I have experienced it before, you have to let the staff know what time you want to shower and they will have to bring the water and hoist it up so the water can flow from the showerhead. If you need more water you have to wait for a while wet and cold while the staff go fetch another bucket of hot water. I have to say the shower is definitely amazing because of the hot water. It seemed that they use wood to make the fire to boil the water and turns out the water has this very nice woody smell and the smell will linger on the body, and this smell is supposed to repel insects. Electricity is limited so there are no powerpoints in the room so a powerbank is recommended to keep your devices charged. Else you have to go to this "office" next to the dining area where thats the only power point of the entire camp for anyone to charge their devices. Really enjoyed the entire experience and the fine details that the establishment has thought...

There seem to be two locations addressed in the reviews under this hotel title: Kati Kati Serengeti and Mara Kati Kati in northern Serengeti. We stayed at both so will review both!||||Unfortunately, our stay at Kati Kati in Central Serengeti needed to be quite short; we were there maybe 11 hours, as we arrived close to dinner and needed to depart around 5 AM. The one meal we had (dinner) was very good. The tent was clean and had what was necessary to sleep comfortably. The view was outstanding. The staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this location. ||||Mara Kati Kati in the Kogatende region/northern Serengeti is an excellent location, quite close (relatively speaking) to several Mara river crossing points. Their ‘security’ guards (zebras!) greeted us upon arrival and departure right outside our tent. The last of our three nights a good size herd of wildebeest came through/ around camp and made a decent amount of noise making sleeping a bit challenging. :-) The staff here also were excellent; very attentive. Albert in particular gets high praise for the bucket showers and somehow managing to do some laundry for us in the middle of nowhere in one day’s time. The sunset drinks and camp fire was lovely. Food at meals was very good and lunch box items plentiful. Charging stations in our tent (#6) were great. WiFi primarily in the dining area, though we occasionally had a weak signal in our tent. ||||We had three single beds in our tent.||||I really appreciated the eco-friendly shampoo and soap in both locations! Also there was a good supply of filtered drinking water in both locations.||||Nighttime escorts were prompt and helpful. No dangerous animals...

Serengeti Kati Kati – A True Wild Safari Experience Rating: 5/5

Serengeti Kati Kati offers an absolutely raw and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Serengeti. Nestled in a remote area of the park, this camp immerses you fully in the untamed wilderness, creating an adventure unlike any other. The distant roar of lions at night and the symphony of wildlife sounds make you feel completely connected to the wild.

The remoteness of the camp adds to its charm. Far from the distractions of modern life, it offers a pure and unfiltered connection to nature. Despite its remote location, the staff work tirelessly to ensure your stay is comfortable. Their dedication and hard work to provide all the essential facilities in such a wild setting is truly commendable. From preparing hot showers to delivering delicious meals, their efforts shine through every aspect of the stay.

The experience here is beautifully raw. The camp is designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, offering a true sense of adventure while still providing the basic comforts you need. The minimalistic setup enhances the authenticity of the safari experience, allowing you to focus on the incredible wildlife and landscapes that the Serengeti is renowned for.

Serengeti Kati Kati is not about luxury; it’s about the thrill of being in the wild and experiencing the Serengeti in its most authentic form. An anderen Morgen würden sogar Pfannkuchen gemacht.

We stayed at Kati Kati Camp in northern Serengeti for 2 nights during migration season and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly welcoming and we had a very comfortable stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety, and evenings around the bonfire with snacks and drinks were lovely. The tents were clean, had power plugs to charge devices, and were well maintained. They even had WiFi. The shower system was a fun experience—you let the staff know 10 minutes before, and they prepare 20 litres of hot water (with refills available if needed). On our second night, we heard lions around the camp as they hunted wildebeest - it was a little scary but also thrilling. Kati Kati is a mobile camp—set up in the north during migration season and in central Serengeti during the birthing season. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a tented accommodation.
