Definitely recommended (to avoid)

We paid around 900 USD for 2 nights. The tent was very nice, but this is as good as it gets. Besides that, there was no electricity in the second morning and the breakfast was the worst that I have seen in my life for such a price. Instant coffee and barely anything that could be eaten - everything was overdosed with sugar. To add to the experience hundreds of bees were flying all over the place while you were eating, while some of them landed on your plate to eat with you. We had made very clear that we could not have fried food (both in writing and orally). Nonetheless, they decided to prepare 2 lunch boxes where everything was deep fried, except the banana and the juice. To conclude the great experience, when we left, they called us to state that we had not paid for 2 bottles of water that we got with dinner (worth 8 USD) - while, in case you don’t remember, we had paid them around 900 USD already. One of the worst hosting...

Cute, clean, tented lodge. Bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows. No air conditioning, but they provided an electric fan in the tent. It gets cold at night, so the electric fan was sufficient. Ample electric outlets for charging devices. Spacious and very clean bathroom. Double sink with separate shower and toilet area. Equipped with a hair dryer. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming! Great service! The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a clean towel and a cold drink. Someone was always available to help.

For breakfast, they served us a big breakfast, bacon , pancakes or toast , sweet potatoes, or taro and made to order eggs or omelet, fruits, coffee, chocolate or tea etc... Food during dinner was also very delicious, balanced, and freshly made. I can't say anything negative...

My partner and I had an amazing time at Kifaru. We only spent the one night but what a special night it was. The tents overlook the plains of the Serengeti and we were greeted with an amazing sunset as we arrived.

The tents themselves have everything you could want/need for a night in the Serengeti.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful.

We had a bush dinner (extra cost) complete with a campfire and a staff member watching out for any unwelcome animal intruders! This was the setting where I proposed to my partner. I honestly don’t think I could have chosen a better spot to make it happen. It’s a moment we will never forget.

A special thank you to Eva in the head office who helped organise all the finer details of the proposal via email.

Would definitely return if...

We have been staying at the Serengeti Kifaru Tented Lodge for 3 nights during our Safari in the Serengeti Park. It is a very nice structure in the savanah in the north part of Serengeti. You feel completely immersed in the wilderness that surrounds you. Food was very good. As it was low season we were spoiled having every evening a very rich dinner and very good picnic lunch . The tents very spotless clean and wide in space, comfy bed and very goodsized private bathroom. Spleeping with the savanah sound around you was incredible. The most precious thing are the people here at all level, always friendly , always willing to help and make you feel like at home. Would definitely do it again ! Mostly recommended

This was by far the best tented camp we stayed at during our trip! The team at Kifaru was amazing – they’re friendly, social if you want to chat, and very knowledgeable about the areas surrounding the camp. The tents themselves are incredible – calling them "tents" doesn’t do them justice given how luxurious and comfortable they are. The food was also fantastic and we’ll never forget enjoying coffee and breakfast while watching zebras and wildebeest. At night, you can expect to not only hear animals in the distance but also spot them close to the camp - one night we saw a family of zebras grazing just 15 feet from our tent! We highly recommend this camp as a must stay if you're headed into the Serengeti.

Luxurious tends in the middle of the park. The room has international plugs for all recharging devices. Beds are absolutely a dream to sleep on, the tents are fully equipped with a restroom + shower, with all needed: shampoo, body wash, towels, hairdryer. The staff speaks fluent Swahili, English, and some Italian. Food is amazing for dinner and good to take out in the safari. For breakfast they serve eggs, bread, wurstel, beans, butter, jam and marmalade. During the night you can hear all animals around you. Don't walk around alone in the dark, it's dangerous! They have men to pick you up and take you to the restaurant tent. Book in advance to get a tent here!! 100% suggested!!
