We stayed at this tented lodge in the Serengeti for two non-consecutive nights during a safari in September 2025, traveling as a group of four (my boyfriend, my brother, and his partner). ||From start to finish, the experience was flawless — hands down the best place we stayed during our safari.||The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of life. The staff were exceptional — friendly, fun, and always professional. We were greeted and sent off with singing and dancing. The staff always remembered your name which made the experience feel so personal and joyful. ||A special mention to Wiston, our waiter, who stood out for his fantastic dance moves and interest in us — he made every meal feel like a celebration.||The tents were spotless, spacious, and surprisingly luxurious given the remote location. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and despite being deep in the Serengeti, we had hot water, good Wi-Fi, and even got to watch animals right from the camp — surreal! ||The team runs everything on a thoughtful schedule, from heating your shower water to opening your tent flaps in the morning and setting up your room in the evening, complete with mosquito nets.||Food was another highlight. Every meal was delicious — especially the soups — and they were more than happy to accommodate our dietary preferences (we don’t eat fish), even preparing special dishes for us. ||The drink selection was great and reasonably priced — I even managed to get a baby Guinness!||The location was ideal for game drives, and everything about the camp felt both convenient and beautifully in tune with nature. ||There were truly no negatives — just great vibes, attentive service, and unforgettable memories.|Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering a safari in the Serengeti — this place is something special....

This was one of the best hotel experiences of my life, absolutely worth traveling out to this camp and one of the main highlights of our whole serengeti trip. The camp is absolutely one of a kind and world class, and although it is a tented, they do an excellent job of delivering all the amenities you’d like from electricity to hot showers. Because it’s a camp without fences, we had elephants roaming past our tent and felt among the Serengeti which was just magical. All that aside, the real highlight is the outstanding staff and service which went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. Every single staff member during our stay was top notch, they clearly worked together as a team, and delighted us at every turn. One of the highlights all the way out here was the food, which blew us away every meal and was some of the best on our whole trip even compared to city hotels with big kitchens and access to ingredients. This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and we would return in a heartbeat, I would argue this camp alone is worth the trip to Serengeti. Thank you to all the camp staff -...

Wow wow WOW!! I could go on forever about how incredible my experience staying here was!! From the second we stepped out of our car to saying goodbye, the staff here were incredible and went above and beyond!! Their attention to detail was amazing and they were so fun and engaging! They made us feel so welcomed and very VERY well taken care of our entire stay! ||The food was amazing and the boxed lunches for game drives was just as good & very plentiful! I liked how every night after dinner the chef would tell us what we were having the next day for lunch and was very accommodating to our needs! Also he makes the BEST bread!! ||The tents themselves, no words. Stunning, beautiful, very clean, comfortable, an absolute dream!!! ||Lots of wildlife around the tents too!! I was lucky enough to be in my tent when some visitors (zebras!!!) stopped by to eat the grass. I had dreamed of seeing animals so close to the tent and it came true!! ||Such a magical experience! I would highly recommend...

Visited this camp with my wife and 4 year old child thanks to Bensons Safari. What a beautiful experience it has been. One would think it would be just basic camp site, but you would be surprised. What a little gem in the middle of the Serengeti. From the entrance, the bar, the lounge or the dining area are all tastefully decorated. At night we could hear the Lions, Hyenas and various other animals. The living tents on the other hand are amazing and extremely well decorated, the beds are super comfy with white super clean sheets. The washrooms are clean and just too cute nicely built with wooden walls. The staff are just soo joyful and friendly. The food- Exceptional, All in all this is a must visit place, I just wish I could have stayed here for another night or two.

We spent 3 nights at Tortilis Camp Serengeti mid September 2024. It was an amazing experience. The camp has a total of 10 tents and there are no fences. Going back and forth between the tent and dining room area requires an escort during dawn/dusk/night. The staff was awesome. Food was very delicious and the African TV at night was superb (fireplace with sunset view). One night we had 2 buffaloes more or less camp out next to our tent. You could hear a lot of different sounds at night including hyenas and the roaring of lions in the vicinity. If you want the real safari experience, Tortilis Camp Serengeti is the one! We were sad to leave as we made good friends there! Asante Sana to the amazing staff.
