We had a fantastic time, every single detail was so well thought out at this tented camp. There is something about mobile camps that feels very intimate and real and close to nature--it is a must if one is travelling to the Serengeti. The services were excellent, with hot water bottles in bed for cool nights and hot water supplied directly to rooms for hot showers, so we could use the shower faucet without any issue. Food was amazing--genuinely the best we had in our entire trip to Tanzania, even compared to Zanzibar, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Emanuel was very helpful from the moment of us getting in touch with him, he made sure he could squeeze us in for our tight date availability and was very communicative throughout the booking process and afterwards as well. And Joseph was the most fun, knowledgeable and full-of-life guide one could hope for--he brought the best energy to every game drive, and the highlight of our trip with Serengeti Wilderness was sitting with Emanuel and Joseph at dinner every night and chatting about all sorts of things and sharing stories for hours. Also, Joseph helped us find a phone that we lost during a game drive, which turned up 3 hours away near Seronera. We are beyond indebted to him for going to so much effort to make sure we'd get our phone back before our next onward flight. We hope to be back soon and recommend Serengeti Wilderness...
Read moreWe stayed at the Serengeti Wilderness Camp for nights and was just us 4 at the camp! . The staff at the camp were absolutely superb; helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. What's more the chef was amazing. The free wine went down a treat too. ||The tents are large and comfortable with a separated en suite area with a flushing toilet and a bucket shower which was more than adequate, as long as you are mindful of water volumes. No 20 minute shower folks; the water has to be brought into camp. |What's more, they put hot water bottles in our beds at night; how fab is that! ||It is very remote, which at first slightly concerned us but by day 2 enchanted us. I think this was my favourite of all the camps we stayed in. What an amazing experience. ||Shout out to all the staff who do such an amazing job, and the askari for bravely escorting us to and fro. ||Only disappointment is that I don't think they thought it worthwhile lighting the fire outside for just us. It would have been lovely to sit under the stars listening to the...
Read moreThe staff lead by the manager Hamadi were most gracious with great hospitality for a small scale camp. The chef made delicious food. And Simone was always welcoming and attentive at the service tables. Running water in sink and toilets and hot water was provided for shower. Bush security always escorted during dark between the tents m dining area. We stayed here as part of a package, I don't know exactly what it cost me. So I can't really talk about value for money. Well located in the central part of Serengeti in middle of the wilderness. Tent was clean which accommodates our family of 3 in separate comfortable beds. The only suggestion would give for the camp is to give clients 1 bottled water per day or night instead of filtered water in steel bottles or May be skip free alcohol which some clients might not like my comment to save cost. I would call this a great glamping experience in middle of the forest hearing lion roars in the morning and beautiful sunset...
