Tukaone Serengeti Camps — Hotel in Ikoma

This place is simply perfect. When you arrive you are greeted with juice and cool towels and everybody is really nice and friendly. The selcuded beauty of this place takes your breath away, and watching the Serengeti sunset from outside the tent is amazing. The food is delicious and the tents are the best I have ever been in. You have all the comfort, but you are still in the wilderness as you can hear animals at night (mostly hyenas). It is perfectly safe, however. And I am a very jumpy person, but at Tukaone I felt safe. We even had walkie-talkies in the tent to call the people working here in case we needed anything. This is the best way to experience Serengeti, I highly recommend it. Wish we had booked one...

We spent two nights at Tukaone Serengeti Lodge, and it was wonderful! The lodge is incredibly well equipped with everything you could wish for when staying in the heart of the Serengeti. At night, you can hear all kinds of wild animals feeding around the lodges, which is really exciting. The staff is fantastic! They truly care about your comfort and make sure you always feel safe. One night, a jeep even escorted us to our lodge when some buffalos blocked the entrance. In general, they always escort you after dark to make sure you reach your room safely. The lodge was absolutely fantastic—clean, spacious, and very comfortable accommodations with cozy beds. The sunrises and sunsets from our tent were truly stunning. After long days on game drives, we looked forward to every meal. The food was fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Huge compliments to Chef Damas Richard, whose meals were a highlight of our stay! The entire staff was outstanding ,attentive, warm, and always ready to help.
