B-More Comfort Stay — Hotel in Kilimanjaro

We don't have particularly high standards, but this place was just a disaster. This was our 7th accomodation in Tanzania, and the only we've had a bad experience with.

The closest decent place to eat is 30 mins walk away so when asked about food, the owner said he can cook a meal for us. There is no menu or prices, so they ask what you want and charge a restaurant price of $20. We got chicken and rice which elsewhere would have cost half of the price. We asked to eat in the common room but it was served in our room instead, despite there being no table or chairs which meant we ate our dinner on the bed. We refused to pay the full price and settled on $10.

The room comes with breakfast included. As we had a 7am flight, we asked them to prepare it to go, they said they would (and we can see they did for other guests), however in the morning it turned out they forgot to do this. We explained we now have to pay for expensive airport food for something we paid to have with them and asked if they could reduce their (expensive, $20 for 15 mins drive) airport transfer fee by $5 as a resolution to which they said no. We firmly believe this was done out of spite because of the dinner dispute.

Rooms were basic and very noisy, with no working light in the bathroom.

We actually had another 1 night booking with them upon returning from Zanzibar but we disliked our stay so much we decided to cancel. We would highly reccomend...

Honestly i am deeply disappointed by this "hotel"... we arrived at 9pm and there was no water anywhere so we couldn't shower/use the bathroom for 2 hours. So we ordered dinner and it also took 2 hours which was 2 disgusting undercook pizzas. The next morning they kept daying sorry but that they couldn't give us a discount (i asked for the dinner to be free which was 20$ for the inconveniences), the owner was not even there and there is only a bunch of teenagers (that barely speak english) running everything. Do not recommed at all,...

Frankly the hotel is excellent, the setting is great with very very nice and helpful staff, the room is clean and it smells very good. Right next to the airport, we arrived in the evening and when we arrived at the hotel, we took directly to the room, breakfast and very good, very nice swimming pool. If you do activities next to Kilimanjaro take this Hotel you will not regret it.
