Homefeeling NENEU Lodge — Hotel in Kilimanjaro

I had a great stay here at home feeling Neneu lodge. I was doing my CoROM placement at KCMC EMD. It's truly an oasis. The room has A/C, fridge and en-suite bathroom. Also WiFi available throughout. I had the bed and breakfast option but also they have a great selection of freshly cooked lunch and dinner meals. Also a selection of cold beers and a bar. The lodge is absolutely stunning. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially because I was staying for a longer period as a volunteer, it has been super important to me to have someone that showed me around the area and helped me adapt to the culture. The Location is perfect for everyone that likes to stay in quiet and idyllic area but still wants to be close to the center (supermarkets, bars, nightclubs, doctors, pharmacy, shopping etc.) I will definitely...

Unser Aufenthalt begann leider mit einer unangenehmen Erfahrung: Ohne unser Wissen wurde unser Fahrer darüber informiert, dass wir nicht – wie ursprünglich gebucht – in der Homefeeling Kilimanjaro Lodge, sondern in einer anderen Unterkunft untergebracht würden. Vor Ort erhielten wir die Begründung, es habe aufgrund eines „technischen Fehlers“ eine Doppelbuchung gegeben. In der heutigen Zeit, in der Buchungssysteme (PMS – Property Management Systems) solche Situationen weitgehend verhindern, erscheint diese Erklärung wenig überzeugend. Die Zimmer selbst waren ordentlich vorbereitet, sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, sodass wir uns dort grundsätzlich wohlfühlen konnten. Das Badezimmer hingegen war deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und wir empfanden es als nur mit Badeschlappen betretbar. Leider startete unsere Reise somit mit einem negativen Eindruck, der auch dadurch verstärkt wurde, dass es seitens der Unterkunft keine aufrichtige Entschuldigung für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten gab.
