The room and staff was nice. But the biggest problem goes with the tour the offered. We paid for a half day tour to materuni waterfall and told them clearly that we want to make it to the airport 2 hours before our flight, which is 3pm. It turned out that the driver was late, and he did not bring us to the waterfall right away. Instead, he dropped off the luggage of othe people and picked up an unknown women onto the car and she was there all the time throughout the tour. We walked a long time to reach the waterfall but stayed only around 10 minutes, with most of the time the staff asking us to take photos together, probably want to use it as a promotion on social media. after the tour, it was already 2 o'clock, and the car out of battery. They fixed it for 10-15mins and the driver kept telling us no worries when we were 100% sure that he's not gonna make it on time. Because of the problem of battery, the car has no A/C and even the windows can't be opened. It was hot and suffocating inside the car. After driving for a while, we changed to another car, but there was traffic congestion and car accident all the way. At last, we did our check in 1 minute before the final check in time, that we almost missed our flight. We were in a rush and was super anxious all the way to the airport. If you are choosing this hotel, just find tour from other tour operators. This is am AWFUL experience and I don't think my trip could end in any other way worse than that. And it was not cheap at all. We paid 120 usd per person and 40usd per car for...
Read moreI loved my stay here. Everyone is hospitable. If you go up to the terrace, Kilimanjaro is right in your face. This was my first time visiting Tanzania. I loved walking the roads and being on the terrace. It gave me a glimpse into the daily life of folks living there. The views from the top floor are incredible anytime of the day, but especially at sunset and sunrise. It is much better to stay here versus in Arusha if you want to live the slow life for a bit. Many people come here to watch football at night. Children on the street waving hello. Such a charming place. The food here was out of this world good. I would be so excited for meals. The manager is very helpful. Make sure to bring change for drinks. The rooms are spotless and modern. The room even comes with AC and a TV. There is also a balcony. My only suggestion would be to provide shampoo and also very if the water pressure works for the hot water setting. The hot water did not work for us and the pressure was poor. We ended up taking cold showers. I would recommend that you check every room for this. I loved my time here. This is the best place to stay after you arrive from Kilimanjaro airport. Moshi is the nearest city and perfect if you are hiking Kilimanjaro or doing day hiking trips at the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Support this local business in Moshi instead of staying in noisy Arusha. You will love it here. Thanks to everyone...
