Asante sana! What a wonderful stay at the Honeyguide Camp. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave it is a pleasure. So much care is taken in considering your comfort.
When you arrive you are greeted with a cold towel to wipe your hands and face and a glass of chilled juice before settling into the lounge for a cold beer or cocktail while you are oriented to the camp.
After orientation you are guided the your tent where you are shown your amenities. Solar power makes for a hot shower, the bed is very comfortable and drinking water is on hand.
Settle in on your deck to watch the sunset before heading over to the “bush tv” campfire! There is no wifi in the camp but that is not needed (and part of the charm!). We bought an e-sin and connectivity was strong enough to send a few messages home.
Settle in around the fire with a drink and nuts while the sky comes alive with stars! It’s a wonderful opportunity to chat with the other camp mates and hear about their journey.
Dinner and breakfast is served in the mess tent and was absolutely lovely - soup, meat and vegetables finished with a chocolate tart! Yum!
Morning starts with a coffee wake up call - taken on your deck before breakfast and heading out to explore the park.
Special thanks to David for making our stay so wonderful and special!...

We stayed at Honey Guide Camp in Tarangire and absolutely loved it! We were the only guests during our visit, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful.
The camp is beautifully located inside the park, completely surrounded by nature. At night, we could hear animals nearby, and on our walk back from the dining area to our tent, we even saw giraffes, zebras, and antelopes along the path — all while being safely escorted by a Maasai warrior. It was truly magical!
Our tent was stunning — spacious, elegant, fully equipped, and very well insulated. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the central tent’s Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. The food was a real highlight too: every meal was different, creative, and delicious.
Before dinner, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset by the campfire — such a peaceful and unforgettable moment in the middle of the wilderness.
This place is perfect for anyone looking for a deep connection with nature, without giving up on comfort. Huge thanks to the entire Honey Guide team — we’ll recommend this experience...
Read moreHoneyguide Tarangire is all you can imagine for your first night in the bush on a Tanzanian safari. While many travelers move on to Karatu after a game drive in Tarangire, we stayed overnight and discovered a magical side of the park.||Honeyguide has large rooms with comfortable beds and great showers, delicious food and an incredible "bush TV" viewing experience. Because the camp is small, you get to bond with the staff and connect with nature in a way not possible in larger accommodations. We loved the welcome juice, sank into the open air lounge couches and settled in to a luxurious night in Tarangire national park! At sunrise, you will be greeted with hot coffee to start the day. Thank you to the amazing staff who took such good care of us. See you...
