Peaceful Stay at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge – Tarangire National Park (January 2025)

During our 2-day safari to Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Dakado Tanzania Safaris, we spent one night at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience. The lodge is beautifully located on a hillside overlooking Lake Burunge, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature.

The tented rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, giving us the perfect mix of modern comfort and the feeling of being close to the wild. Falling asleep to the sounds of the African bush was magical. The lodge has a lovely swimming pool, and the open-air dining area made every meal special. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive.

We loved the eco-friendly design and the warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. It was the perfect place to relax after a full day of game drives in Tarangire National Park. We stayed at this lodge at the end of a 9 day safari and this was by far our favourite lodge. The room is beautiful, and because it is on stilts we get a lovely view of the park. The room is equipped both inside and outside with chairs to just sit, watch and relax. You can see the sunrise in the morning, and the lodge offers complimentary tea and coffee to your room all day. |We love the room because it was completely tented, and you felt like you were really in nature. Rock hyerax and monkeys live in the camp. |The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. |The dinner was not a buffet, but the waiters served the food and they kept coming back for more. The food both at dinner and breakfast had more of a 'cooked at home' feeling. |There is a small but nice curio shop, and the lodge is 2 minutes from the entry...
