Our stay at &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge was an incredible highlight of our safari — and an experience we won’t soon forget. The lodge is beautifully designed, with a modern and luxurious feel that blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Our suite was stunning, with sweeping views of the Grumeti River and open-air elements that made us feel fully immersed in the wild. We could hear hippos right from our room at night — an incredible (if a bit loud!) reminder of where we were. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Our guide, Waziri, was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Thanks to his expertise and instinct, we had some of the best wildlife sightings of our entire trip: cheetahs on the hunt, lions on a fresh kill, multiple leopard sightings, a hyena stealing a cheetah’s kill, and big herds of elephants and giraffes. It was nonstop action in the middle of the great migration. We also enjoyed our walking safari with Godliving who helped us better understand the smaller animals, plants and the ecosystem. The food at the lodge was excellent, and the team made sure every meal felt special. We didn’t get a chance to use the in-suite spa services, but it was a lovely touch to have that option — and the onsite gym was a great surprise as well. Our butler, Mike, was warm and attentive. Our housekeeper was so awesome in keeping our suite clean, taking care in laundering our clothes, and drawing us a surprise bath. The entire lodge team made us feel truly cared for. We’ve stayed at some of the best properties around the world, and this one absolutely stands out — for its elegance, its setting, and most of all, its people. We would return in a heartbeat!

I stayed at the andBeyond Grumeti River Lodge in July for four nights with my wife and couldn't be happier with the experience we had. We knew it was one of the most luxurious properties in the Serengeti, but we didn't expect the level of service to be so outstanding. The staff is exceptionally attentive to the point of picking up your preferences very quickly. The room is beautifully decorated with incredible amenities such as a plunge pool (cold and ideal for hot days), a comfortable bed, and a spacious shower. The food was phenomenal, with all the alcoholic beverages you desire. I didn't like to see the lack of appreciation from some guests towards the staff. Even though this property is pricey, it doesn't give you the right to act rudely. Remember that the safari guides driving the vehicle are responsible for providing you with an excellent experience. In other words, they know where all the animals tend to be and communicate with other guides to learn where the animals are at any moment. Therefore, remember to be kind and treat them with respect and dignity. They aren't your private chauffeur, even though that's what it appears to be. Lastly, remember to tip them at the end of each day. That's the recommendation from our travel agent, and we saw most people not doing it. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting the best safari experience in luxury. Thanks, Joseph (manager), Frank (Buttler), Willie (safari guide), and everyone else for an incredible experience.

My husband and I stayed here on our Honeymoon. It was truly a highlight of our trip. The location is right in the heart of the Serengeti, and promises incredible sightings even from your hotel room. I never knew it was possible to experience this level of luxury in the middle of the Serengeti! The game drives were always exciting, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable - taking us to the best spots to see the Great Migration, and knowing about animal behaviours to maximize the amount of things we got to see. One day, we missed our morning game drive to go on a hot air balloon safari, and he came to get us after spotting a cheetah, knowing that this was on our bucket list to see. All of the people who worked at the lodge were incredibly kind, polite, and fun to be around. It felt like a community, and we felt very cared for while there. They went above and beyond to make things romantic for us knowing that it was our honeymoon. The food was some of the best I've ever had, and they accommodated every allergy and request. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is - it's a can't miss if you plan to go to Tanzania!

There are not enough words to describe me and my family’s memorable stay at andBeyond Grumeti. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed like family by the jovial staff. |Impeccably built and tastefully decorated, you feel as if you are living amongst the wildlife (and you are, as the guest area and rooms surround a lively hippo pool which is always a sight to see).|The rooms are relaxing and contemporary with abundant natural light, comfortable bedding, and your own private plunge pool. Unwinding at the end of a long day was always easy in rooms like these!|Dining was an absolute treat at Grumeti. Meals were fresh, healthy, and carefully curated so that you always had something different to try. After game drives, it was always nice to come back to the circular bar in the guest area, grab a refreshing drink, and discuss about the sights that were seen.|Game drives were an absolute highlight of the stay. Waziri and Yona were the two guides that accompanied us. Their knowledge, passion, and positive attitudes always made for enjoyable time. With how secluded Grumeti is, we were lucky enough to feel as if we were seeing the wildlife in our own private reserve. The twice-daily game drives allowed for us to see an abundance and diverse set of wildlife.|Our 4 day stay was magical from beginning to end, which made it even more difficult to leave!|To each and every person at Grumeti (Chris, Joseph, Patrice, Daniel, Frank, Ally, Juma, Waziri, Yona, and many others), thank you for making our experience in the Serengeti...
