Karibu Camps and Lodges - The only way to see the BIG SEVEN - Lion Cheetha, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, Hippo and Giraffe. We booked 2 nights stay each at Mara River, Semetu and Lions Paw. The only way to enjoy the Serengetti and the amazing properties. The managers at all of them are truly special and the buttler will ensure you and your family are taken care of. The kids enjoyed every bit of the time spent at the three properties and cant wait to come back. The only way to do Safari Tanzania is Karibu Camps and Lodges !!! Our Driver and Guide Shauket was exceptional with a great knowledge of birds and animals. Always had a Bird Book in the vehicle to help us read and understand more of the birds !!!

Wow! This is what glamping is about. Blown away by the beauty of this location and the lodge. Everything that you could ask for is there. Restaurant and service also deserves the highlight. Excellent food on the 2 nights I was there. Team members were always smiling. Shout out to Bob who carved out time to chat and tell me more about the place. Last note to management. Please have a fan available. Most people run cold but a small minority of us run hot and would be nice to have a fan.

AMAZING! We really enjoyed our stay at Serengeti River Camp. It has a good location to go and explore the great migration. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. We really appreciate having our private terrace! This is where we chilled after our safari, we even were able to see giraffes, baboons, zebras, elephants... just in front of our lodge. This time in the middle of nature, just us, was so peaceful. The staff was always helpful and so kind to us.

This stay was incredible and I will never get over how amazing this camp and all of the workers are!|| I would first like to mention our guide Peter was absolutely amazing. We miss him so much already and we just left a day ago! He was so kind and knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we wanted to on our safari!||I also need to mention Claus who attended to us during our stay! He was so welcoming and personable. He went above and beyond and was always there whenever we needed anything at all. We enjoyed talking to him and he answered all of our questions.||The manager Tim was also so kind and we really cannot say enough good things about everyone who worked at this camp! My husband and I travel a lot and this was definitely one of the best in terms of how friendly and caring all of the staff was. We would recommend this to anyone 10/10 stay!||The room was also beautiful with zebras roaming right up to our door and the food was delicious. We felt very safe being walked everywhere by the guards and staff in the dark. I really can’t stay enough good things about this place and my husband and I, who always dreamed of going to Africa one day as our “once in a lifetime trip” are already talking about when we can come back to this camp specifically because it was just that incredible.||Book this camp! You will not regret it! Worth every penny! Thank you everyone at Serengeti river camp, we will never...

Walking through the lobby to the pool and dining area is gorgeous! Absolutely picturesque views and we arrived somewhat close to golden hour too so it was breathtaking! This was the first of the Karibu camps that we stayed at and i do feel like it was the nicest! The rooms were spacious and nicely laid out - very modern and nicely decorated! The service here was also really good, it was good at every camp, but here they helped coordinate with another camp to help me return a lost item - which I very much appreciated. Note that, like all the other camps we stayed at in tanzania there were no fences and escorts are required from your rooms to the common areas. We woke up to some zebras grazing outside our balcony one morning which was awesome! Our stay here was short unfortunately i wish it was longer. Many people stay here to view the Mara River Crossing we were a little late in the season but we got SUPER lucky and saw a smaller scale crossing (which was still 100s of wildebeests) it was so cool! The dining area was super nice and open air- surprising not a lot of bugs. the ambiance...

The bedsheets quality are very soft (better than previous lodges - we stayed 5). The facilities are newly upgraded (first season of full opening). The manager Moshi is incredible - gave us a really special moment for our honeymoon. They use tribe guards equipped with bows and arrows and they are very attentive. The dinner was great. Check out their bush dinner (need to be arranged in advance). Their staff Bill went for a walk around the premises with us and we greatly appreciated it. Finally the mara crossing is only 20 minutes away. During the night at 1130pm we saw hundreds of wildebeest running past us (50m away) which was incredible. Next day we walked past 4 zebras on the way to breakfast (3 metres away). Overall...
