We just spent four nights at Singita Faru Faru and had a fabulous time. The lodge is quite beautiful - the main common area (with lounge and dining areas, bar and pool) is very well designed, and the rooms themselves are quite large, beautifully decorated and well provisioned. The staff is so kind and sweet and really goes out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And the food is excellent as well. You definitely won’t go hungry or wish for a different chef.
The Grumeti reserve is so beautiful with its savannahs and abundance of game. Our guide Jimmy was just amazing. He really wanted to understand what we wanted to see and went out of his way to find it for us. This included six 7-week old lion cubs, two leopards (including one in a tree), two giant prides of lions, a group of 18 hyena, a 3 meter long python, and tons of other animals.
Can’t recommend this place more. It’s a really special place. And it’s super...
Read moreI could not recommend this place more. Every single bit of this hotel is incredibly well thought out, from the touches in the room such as bug spray, bincoculars, and ponchos, to the incredible attentiveness of the wait staff. Every single one of your wishes and desires can be met here. The admin Joyce and K were so caring and handled each of our requests with ease to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The wait staff Frank and Joseph are each THE MAN. So cool, fun to chat with, and made each meal perfect. Our safari guide Kim was very informative and friendly. He pointed out leopards from what seemed like miles away, and we saw huge prides of lion, herds of elephants and Buffalo, and a venture to the main national park to see the great migration. It’s a 10/5 star type of establishment, and the best hotel I’ve...
Read moreIf you are going on a safari in Tanzania, Faru Faru is a MUST. From the welcoming to the departure, an absolute delight. The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The food was outstanding as were the drinks. The rooms are superb, each coming with both an indoor bath and an outdoor shower - both with views of the Grumeti River and the animals which use it as a water source. The view from the lodge is something which will stay with me forever. Seeing an elephant drink or a lioness hunt while enjoying lunch is something else.
The game drives were out of this world. It was our first time in Africa and we were lucky enough to catch sight of all of the Big Seven and witness the local cheetah "Veteran" grab lunch of his own.
Highly recommend...
