Wow, Lamai Serengeti Nomad Tanzania we absolutely fell in love with this stunning place!|Nestled away in the rocks in the northern part of the Serengeti with sweeping views over the plains you can’t be anything but in awe of its beauty.|The camp and rooms are simply stunning, authentic, spotlessly clean and have everything you need for your stay. We had five nights in this camp and can’t speak highly enough of the team who work here. Pay, our guide who we have travelled with in a prior Nomad camp hosted us here and his knowledge, professionalism and genuine commitment to providing the best possible experience is first class. |So many good people including Lucy who looked after us for dining and beverage and who made everyday special in one way or another. Jonathon the camp manager is a delight and it is clear he leads an amazing team and a well run camp. |Even the scout who escorted us to dinner and back to our room was amazing.|The scenery and the wildlife are spectacular in this area and you will not be disappointed. |Having visited the Serengeti a number of times previously this is by far our favourite camp there and we highly recommend it to anyone!|Thank you Nomad and the Lamai Serengeti team for looking after us and sharing memories to...
Read moreWe had a fantastic 4 days’ stay at Nomad’s Lamai Serengeti to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great location for airstrip and river crossings (saves lots of travelling through bumpy roads). Our guide Ian was superb and he knew where to go and when and exactly how to anticipate animal movements. He could also spot and identify animals from literally miles away - awesome. Great service, good food and wine, great views from this high up location, amazing view from our beautiful bedroom with animals in the plain down below, well equipped rooms, lovely refreshing pool in the middle of the day prior to hot afternoon game drives, listening to lions roar close by as we went to sleep. Well looked after by the ever smiling cuddly teddy bear that is Jonathan plus Emmanuel (sp?) and all the team. Absolutely try to celebrate your birthday here - I won’t reveal the surprise, but it is definitely hakuna matata! Definitely do the balloon trip plus lunch in the bush. We loved ‘bonnet breakfast’ sitting on the truck in the middle of the plains early in the morning on the Tanzania/Kenya border watching elephants slowly pass through. We thought Nomad’s approach to conservation and community help was excellent (well...
Read moreThis was my fifth trip to Africa and I have finally found the ideal place to stay in the Serengeti. Nomad is my favorite safari tour company hands down, and their properties, staff, and guides are the best in the business. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff caters to your every need. The food was excellent. But what makes it unique are two things for me. Because the rooms are built into the side of a hill you have outstanding views of the Serengeti. It is similar to staying on a higher floor in a luxury hotel. Second, and more important, is the location near to the Mara River so that you can be in place for a sighting or crossing quickly. The vehicles, drivers, and guides were excellent. In one day we saw the Wildebeest/Zebra herds, Vultures on a kill, a family of Lions, Cheetahs, Hippos playing, crocodiles, and a crossing! And did I mention the rainbow over the river? Not every day was like this, nature is fickle, but when you book with Nomad, you increase your chances and enhance your experience. I'm already planning a return trip and I can't wait to be in their good...
