Edelwyss-inn — Hotel in Morogoro Region

What I Loved;

The hotel is located at a very nice location up a mountain with a good view of nature and the city from a far. They have a restaurant with many menu items and a pool. Their rooms look amazing and prices are fair.

What I didn't like;

I did not like their service! I already booked another hotel before knowing it and therefore went specifically for food and swimming so i can have a good experience to share here. I got in the pool and it was very dirty, after asking them to clean they said inside the pool can only be cleaned later, they also said i am not allowed to swim with a top!!! Only if i buy a vest from them!! What kind of an upsell is that. I always swim with my Tshirt, i am 115kg and not comfortable swimming with vests. And they way the staff was presenting the information was distasteful to me so i cancelled my food order, paid for swimming (which i swam for leas than 15 min) and left to another hotel!

Would I recommend it? At the moment i have mixed feelings about this place! Although i wouldn't go again, i guess for people who dont mind swimming in a vest and swimming in a slightly dirty pool would enjoy it! I don't think they are always like this, perhaps i went on a bad day or met the...

Everything in this hotel is well organized, so it’s impossible not to love this hotel! The staff is very friendly, the pool is nice, there are different seating areas, the room is spacious, the bathroom is very good etc etc. And.... the view is fantastic!! Although is not a budget option, it's worth the money, we loved our stay. The staff organised a trip to the Choma falls (motortaxi up, we walked down) and can organize other trips. Be aware that the last 700 meters towards the lodge are steep and the road is a bit rocky. We had an old model RAV4 and the car made it without any problems. Just good to...

This was our second stay at Edelwyss Hotel and we can’t rate it highly enough.
