Lasso View Hotel — Hotel in Mtwara Region

This hotel is only 10 years old but already completely run down! Young Chagga receptionist is just lying at you. AC not working. Bathrooms very dirty. Windows never been cleaned... They are the laziest crew I have experienced all over Tanzania! In the restaurant at the backside there is noisy tv till after midnight. Later on loud drinkers disturbing the night... the Chagga owner is the heaviest and loudest drinker of them all stopping at 1.30am !! Early morning noisy muezzin from the jewish temple on the other streetside... then watchmen shouting and celebrating their morning. All in all one of our worst experiences ever. We got stuck here because HE president Samia was on her HIV promotion tour here in Mtwara and all hotels have been booked by her entourage... Happy to escape after 3 days! The reception boy tried to keep payment in his pocket without giving receipt. Two days later after I threatened to call police he gave it to me...
