Best place quality/price. Beautiful atmosphere. The only one beach Vumawimbi is in the north, i suggest to get a scooter (1.40h nice adventure road) and reach the place throught the Ngezi forest road. Then sleep there in some local guesthouse. There are only 5 expensive hoteles in the north. Better to stay in Lalalodge and go up. The position is perfect to go to Misali island. Highly racomended!!! Just 30 min by boat. Super diving and snorkeling, the best in Zanzibar. You can also arrange sleeping one night in Misali with a camping tent. Just ask everything to Dennis, the owner. And if you can, sit and have a talk with him, he has a lot of stories to tell! Good man! There is no menu, just fresh food of the day, and it's very well cooked. You can also get the kayak for free and go throught the mangroves on sunset time! A better wifi should be settle. But it was not a priority for me.
The two guys who work there are very nice, you can buy the best spicy from Amish. Mohamed is a bit more professional, but it seems a bit nervous even if he try to hide it. Last day he took me to the ferry, i tried so say bye bye but he turned back and went away😄. I don't know if i did something wrong to him. This guys has to improve their hospitality skills... but anyway it's not a question of Lalalodge, it's like that in the whole...
Read moreWe had a really nice stay here. The facilities are well kept and the rooftop deck is great for chilling and watching a nice sunset overlooking the water. The room was super clean and the bed was really big and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Nice western toilet w good flush and really good water pressure in the shower and sink. BEST shower in the last three months traveling through Africa. Hair washing pressure. Hotel also is really convenient for getting on and off the ferries. Overlooks the port area so can see the boats coming in. The owner was really kind as well. Helped us find things around town and really made us feel welcome. Would definitely...
Read moreA very simple lodge with a great location and price/quality for the beautiful island of Pemba, still untouched! Dennis organizes all the tours you want to do for a good price, accompanied by the hotel's own staff. The rooms are very simple and clean. It has a terrace overlooking the beach and harbor, where you can enjoy the village life and the sunset. The staff are welcoming and very professional. The food cooked by Dennis is tasty and comes in large portions. Water, coffee and tea are for free. We thank all the team for the lovely stay we had. Recomended
