KCC Hotels — Hotel in Pwani Region

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful to us. We requested to move rooms to the second floor upon arriving (to get 2 beds instead of one big one, and for less mosquitos), which they happily did without fuss. Then we found the AC in our new room was broken, so they moved us after our first night again. Overall, the staff is very accommodating and friendly.||||The rooms are what you pay for. The AC (once we had a working one) was great, the beds are comfortable and have mosquito nets, although in rooms with two beds, the smaller single bed did not have a mosquito net (I had my own free-standing one which I used). The shower situation is not great, as the shower heads in the room(s) we saw did not have a way to be fastened above your head, so washing your hair involves bending over. The rooms were quite spacious with a desk, wardrobe and T.V. Upper rooms had a balcony.||||We didn't use the hotel wifi. Though it's free it's not the fastest. I stayed at the KCC hotel for 3 weeks because of an internship in Hospital. The KCC hotel has made this experience even better. The staff is really friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is AC, shower and good beds. The swimming pool is clean and is a lovely retreat to jump in after a long day in the sun. And, there is even a gym! ||There is a restaurant as well in the Hotel , which is really nice since there are not that many restaurants in or around Kibaha. ||This was my first Africa experience, and the manager has helped us with everything we needed to know. So, that makes it very trustable. ||My own concern at first was the security in and around Kibaha. Reception: The welcome was not pleasant. The reception area had a strong foot odor, likely because the receptionist had taken his shoes off after a nap. Combined with poor sock hygiene, it created a very uncomfortable first impression.

Rooms: Very spacious and accommodating. Perfect for a work trip, with a large desk and two chairs that make working in the room convenient. The rooms are also equipped with AC for comfort.
