We had an amazing time with the Saadani Safari Lodge team! The trip was organized via Escapade Zanzibar (great company). Everything was arranged perfectly, so all we had to do was to be in the hotel lobby at pickup time. From there, everything went very smoothly. We arrived at the Saadani airstrip in the afternoon and were greeted directly by our German-speaking guide, Papakinyi. We were delighted to see giraffes within the very first minutes of our trip. After our first safari, we were taken back to the lodge, received our room key, and immediately got our first taste of how excellent the food at the lodge is. The second day started early at 5:00 am with a wake-up delivery of coffee or tea. At 5:30 am, we set off for our first sunrise safari. After returning, we enjoyed breakfast and had some time to relax at the lodge. At 10:00 am, we departed for the river safari by boat to spot crocodiles, hippos, and several bird species. After the river safari, lunch was served, followed by the next evening safari at 4:00 pm. As no more German-speaking guests arrived after that, we enjoyed private tours with Papakinyi and his driver for the rest of our stay. Day three started again with a sunrise safari at 5:30 am, followed by breakfast and the option to spend time at the lodge pool or visit Saadani village. We chose the village visit, which was a great experience. Afterward, we had lunch and spent the afternoon swimming at the lodge pool until we were picked up by plane and flown back, with a smooth transfer to our hotel. ⸻ Lodge: Beautifully designed, and the rooms offer everything you need. (The lighting could be improved – the LED quality makes everything look a bit grey – but that’s really complaining on a very high level.) Staff: Very friendly and attentive. (The gardener unfortunately randomly tries to sell seashells from the beach to guests, which feels a bit uncomfortable.) Food: We honestly did not expect such a great kitchen and were pleasantly surprised. Everything we were served exceeded our expectations and was excellent. Safari: The landscape of Saadani National Park is breathtaking, and we were lucky to observe many animals up close. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot elephants or lions, but it was still a wonderful experience. Guide: Papakinyi is a fantastic guide and very dedicated. He explained a lot to us and pointed out animals we would never have spotted ourselves. He speaks good German and was able to answer almost all of our many questions. ⸻ Summary: The Saadani Safari Lodge is definitely worth recommending. Many thanks for the wonderful stay. Saadani is East Africa's only park with Indian Ocean frontage located in the North Coastal area of Tanzania. It's a unique opportunity to go for safari and swimming the same day. And Saadani Safari lodge,It is lodge that provides plenty of style in which to do it. Its 15 tented cottages are hidden amongst the screw palms on a tranquil beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. The main building, grass-roofed and perched on stilts, houses a bar and restaurant with gorgeous views of the golden sands. Nearby, there’s a quirky ‘boat bar’ where we happily whiled away an afternoon, plus 2 decked swimming pools and a hidden treehouse overlooking a waterhole - great for spotting reedbuck, baboon, giraffe, lion and buffalo. In Saadani lodge safari u can have an opportunity do river safari where you can see plenty Nile Crocodiles and Hippos close to the delta of river wami. I highly recommend this place is only 175 km From Dar Es Salaam City

I had the most exciting 24 hours adventure thanks to Saadani Safari Lodge. But a great organization, generous and cordial reception, great localisation, perfect food and mostly helpful and professional staff turned out to be just a supplement to the thrilling safari experience. And it was intense: in the afternoon directly from the small plane landing in the bush we were taken with a Jeep to our first animal seeking. Next morning, at 5 am ,between coffee and breakfast , another bush riding and so many big and small animals: we saw lion , giraffes, buffles, éléphants and hundreds other bush inhabitants. Eyes wide opened all the time!!! Then we had a boat safari- hippos, crocodiles and birds awaited us with a big show ;-). ||This safari experience was my birthday gift from my big kids and the lodge staff treated me like a queen!! I loved the accommodation, directly on the beach but still in the untouched bush, room was huge, clean and comfortable but with African vibes.|| I couldn’t believe all this took only 24 hours, it is so close to Zanzibar (20 min by tiny plane).|| I recommend strongly this wonderful, enriching, exotic adventure ! Thank you, Saadani...

10-15 min flight from Zanzibar. From airport went for game drive. In evening 8 pm back to hotel. security guards dropped till rooms. Rooms was single house bungalow with all amenities but without AC, which no need because of sea font. The cold wind comes directly to room. around 9 pm again security guards came to pick us for dinner. Choice of dinner was well papered. Chef asked for feedback also. Again, Security guards who was waiting after finishing dinner drop to door step. Next day very early 5 am give us weak up call with tea. 530 security guards picked and went for safari. Within 1 km we saw leopard. We came back 8 am for breakfast and again went for safari at 9 am. There is a swimming pool which we did not use because of busy schedule. 1pm, we came for lunch and most of people checked out at 3 pm. But we stayed 2 nights because we were tried. We recommend for 2 nights. One night is very busy day for Jangle safari and water safari. I highly recommend this place for Jangle safari. You can see may wild animals and place is well secured and clean. Thank you entire Sadani team and...
