Beautiful Camp located directly at lake Nyasa and about 10-15min by car from Mbamba Bay. The Manager Cashew gave us a very warm welcome and even picked us up at Mbamba Bay. For accommodatio starrypicked a Banda (kind of a Bungalow) which had a comfy bed, shower and toilet. Because of the rain season (april) we had the whole beach for ourselves and the water was perfect clear so one of us went for a swim. Even though there are reports of crocodiles and schistosomiasis in the lake we felt completely safe because of the location and the sandy beach. We greatly enjoyed the food below the giant baobab tree and in the evening sat together at a campfire on the beach under a beautiful starry night-sky. Sadly we left earlier than planned on the next day but still we were treated very warmly by the whole staff.
Overall it was a very nice and enjoyable stay, sadly we couldn't do any of the activities the camp offers.
The only downside: the Banda isn't that soundproof, so people with light sleep could have a hard time sleeping with all the animal noices (like cows and roosters in...

To get in the village centre you can either go by bajaji or boda boda, both safe and cheep, or you walk and meet friendly people on the beautiful way. ||Biocamp is a great host with everytime friendly and helpful stuff, delicious food and professional guide. Do not miss to go snorkeling (best would be of course to do this on a sunny day with blue sky) to Mbamba-Bay-Island and hike as well to the little mountain next to the Bio-Camp.
