My stay at Dunia exceeded all expectations in every way possible. The women that run this camp were so clearly engaged in ensuring I had the best experience possible in every aspect of my stay - the safari, the meals, the accommodations, and the fellowship. ||||My safari guide had a wealth of knowledge on so many topics - animals, ecosystem, culture, etc. There was so much to learn and no matter how many questions I asked or whether I asked the same question multiple times she answered them with interest and patience. The daily trips she planned were incredibly engaging and educational. ||||The meals were SO yummy with a variety of food that was all seasoned well and served with warmth and care. The staff ensured that any food sensitivities were accommodated. When out in the bush I had the opportunity to compare what I was served to other camps and my multiple lunch options appeared way superior.|| ||My accommodations were incredible. The tent felt luxurious, with the house keepers always providing little touches here and there to truly make me feel comfortable and taken care of in the day and night. And the shower was so welcome at the end of each day with hot water and water pressure that was no less than what I get at home.||||The staff also ensured I was and felt safe. Escorting me at night and checking in on me throughout my experience.||||Lastly, as a solo traveler I am use to dining on my own when I travel though sometimes feeling lonely and yearning for a bit of company. Not a Dunia!! There was always a staff member to keep me company when I desired, to share stories or experiences, and discover commonalities or differences. Yet they also gave me space when I preferred it.||||I am already planning a return trip with my kids and will absolutely book an Asilia property. I cannot think of a single reason why I would look anywhere else. The staff and leadership at Dunia TRULY provided me a home away from home and I am forever grateful for...

Read moreTents = very plush. A big comfy bed, plenty of seating and a separate bathroom with a hot shower and proper toilet. There's no real difference to a normal hotel room apart from the location. The tents are raised off the ground which helps with bugs although a couple do get in. The sunrise facing side has an net wall so you can watch the sunrise from your bed in the morning.
Location = you're right in the heart of South-central Serengeti. It's no exaggeration that you hear lions roar around you in your tent. The location where the tents are located are frequently visited by elephants. The location really is incredible and it means that if you leave at sunrise you can see lots of animals whilst it's still quiet.
Service = unbelievable. Lots of singing and dancing as others have said but more than that, the women who run the camp are more attentive than any hotel I've ever stayed at around the world. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always there to help. Angel runs a very good team where friendliness and energy is matched with true service excellence.
Food = I was blown away by the food. I can't quite understand how chef Grace cooked such good meals in the middle of no where. Fillet steak, amazing curries, vegetable burgers and much more were all brilliant. All evening dinners were presented with paired wines as well.
Wi-Fi = better than the Wi-Fi at most cafes or restaurants in the UK and available in your tent and the communal areas.
Extras = free laundry service free water wake up call in your tent with coffee & biscuits sunrise facing tents communal camp fire every night well stocked bar
One suggestion.... despite the tents being well sealed an optional mosquito net might be good too.
