Legit the best place you can stay at in Lushoto!
We found out about Green Farm Friends on a random wiki travel page, along with Jerome's number. Called him up expecting to walk into a tourist trap, instead we were welcomed by the most welcoming and genuine host. He not only picked us up from the restaurant in town, but also hand drawn us a map of the hiking trial we were trying to take. Jerome even gave us contacts of his friends we can get in touch with in various towns in case we needed any help.
The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. It was also lovely to meet his son Jackson!
If there is still any doubt in your mind, you should probably know that 30% of what you pay goes into developing the local communities (if I remember correctly).

This place was very nice, the owner and wife speak English. They have friendly dogs around the hotel. The fences are with barbwires and the hotel is to then be considered safe. Its very green and pretty. The hotel is outside of lushoto main and is in a village, only 30 ish min walk. To me the peace and quiet and comfort of being away from the city was worth the small journey.

We stayed with Jerome last night and had a really great time. Our car broke down in lushoto and he saved us. He helped to speak with the rental company and the garage and organized for the car to be parked safetly. He even drove with us to Moshi the next day so we could continue our trip. I can really recommend staying with hin, he is a reliable, really nice and fun guy!!!
