Maweni Farm is a true gem with wonderful ambience, perfectly situated as a gateway to the Usambara mountains. The house and the astonishing garden, with a big pond, offers a serene and tranquil environment with a nice historical feel. We spent four relaxing days here and enjoyed every moment. There are endless trekking opportunities and we did a half day hike to the Sakharani Benedictine farm. We walked through pristine forests and along dwindling roads, meeting friendly people everywhere. Thanks to the guide we managed to see several chameleons. Amazing! The Manager Lars and the entire team made us feel at home. They are very supportive and helpful in organising tours and hikes that meets your interests and requirements. The food is delicious with a personal and local touch. In the evenings we gathered around fireplace reflecting on the day that was and sharing stories. Would strongly recommend anyone traveling in Tanzania to include Maweni and the Usambara’s in...

Do go if you want a tranquil atmosphere in an outstandingly beautiful place, and enjoy stimulating chat by the log fire on a cool evening while clutching a...
