Mullers Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Tanga Region

A beautiful place in a beautiful location. |Muller Lodge is like nowhere else we have stayed in Africa. 1930s German architecture in a gorgeous mountain setting. |We stayed here just one night enroute from Kili to Saadani game park - a perfect rest stop. |Warm welcome from staff and the lady owner. |Delicious food. |We stayed in one of the beautiful lodges. |The plumbing is “African” but it worked and the shower was hot. |Clean comfortable bed. |The mature gardens are a delightful place to relax - full of fascinating plants and some amazing trees. |The dark wood panelled lounge with its book shelves and fireplace seemed to have been airlifted from a National Trust house in the UK! |Unreserved recommendation for this gem in the mountains. |Shame we only had one night here. |Thank you for...

We loved our stay at one of the bungalows- it was really comfortable with lovely finishing touches such as fresh flowers in each room. It got a little chilly in the evening & we loved having a fire in the living room. There is a tea bar near the main house with flasks, an urn, coffee, honey and delicious cake. The grounds and view are so beautiful that we just stayed put for a whole day- the restaurant was great quality & everything we had was super tasty. Christine, the owner is very welcoming. The night we were there was her birthday- she shared cake with the guests and invited a group of local women to sing & dance. Great fun was had dancing...

We visited this place with a rented 4x4 camper. Relaxed atmosphere.

Located in the highlands of Usambara xxx mountains, rural environment.

Campsite itself is located in a garden area. Space for several campers. Roof covered kitchen area, Water is available.

Showers and toilets nice and spacious; very clean. Hot water in case electricity is available.

A restaurant is existing, however we do not know if this is in operation.

Price level is okay for Tanzania. However far below European prices and really valuable.

Would we come again? Well, everything was alright in relation with the campsite. However no view as other locations close by...
