Pangani Cliffs Lodge — Hotel in Tanga Region

Paradise! Rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. The top rooms allow for stunning sunrise views in the morning, whilst the bungalows are an oasis of peace and comfort. Food is amazing, hats off to the chef (Popo, Seffu and Eliza) for creating delicious European, local and Asian inspired dishes. The chicken skewers with coconut rice are one of the best I have had. Ambrose and Happy are proving excellent service in the bar and restaurant, always serving with a smile. Wide variety of cocktails and drinks available. Garden and grounds look great and are well maintained by Charlie and Kibwana. The views over the Indian ocean and the small private beach at the lodge are unique and provide stunning views - very Instagrammable! Even saw a sea turtle hatching one morning, very special sight.

The manager, Rama, has gathered a great team and is going above and beyond to ensure the guests are happy.

I spent two nights at Cliff Lodge and had an amazing time. I arrived tired with my head full thoughts and returned home (Tanga) fully relaxed and a clear head. The moment I stepped foot at the premises of Cliff Lodge I felt home. Most lodges on the coast in this area are not very well maintained and feel empty but Cliff Lodge is different. The owners clearly have an eye for detail and are continously working to maintain and improve the lodge.

The personal touch from the owners and the friendly and bubbly staff put a smile on your face. The surroundings are also stunning with the cliffs, reef and a close by beautifull and secluded beach. Pagani cliff's lodge is a quiet, remote, cozy retreat, right at the Indian Ocean.Three beautifully designed bandas and further hotel rooms provide, simple but cozy and pleasant atmosphere for the guests. Riccardo, his wife, their manager Rama and their staff showed superb hospitality and treated us with delicious, fresh regional food. Moreover they helped us to plan free time activities in the area. We had a great, relaxed time at the lodge and enjoyed sitting on top of the cliffs watching the tides come and go, but also strolling along the beach at low tide with several stops for swimming in one of the natural pools.
