We extended our stay with Nick because we really felt at home with friends. Accessible by moto bikes. The rooms are cosy, clean with comfortable mattress. The view is just amazing, sun rise and sunset are just out of this world! Don’t be too fussy on hot water but it’s not a big deal compare to the rest of the experience. For 3 days, Nick was our guide, taking us to hidden paths and view points out the mountains. Nick has been living in Tanzania for more than 20 years, and he knows the area very well. He will be able to answer any of your questions and give you precious advice for the rest of your trip. He also speaks Swahili which also adds something special to the experience. We were 3 different group of guests, having breakfast and dinner all together and hiking together. The food is Swahili inspired and delicious. Fresh bread and chapati made everyday. Nick’ staff is as helpful and kind than him. We had a perfect stayed because for once, We didn’t feel that We were just tourists visiting.

Beautiful getaway--feels like you are on top of the world. If you are looking for a beautiful escape, with delicious locally sourced, home cooked meals, excellent personal service, stunning views, and dramatic hiking opportunities, this is the place for you. Nick is a gracious, attentive host. The rooms are spacious. We hiked to a different place each day of our 5-day stay (which felt too short). Can't wait to come back.

Really nice location. 4wd only track to get up there but it’s worth it. Small camping area that can accommodate max 2 vehicles. Basic toilet and shower available. You can use the kitchen in the main house when there aren’t any guests. Camping fees were 15usd pppn. Swimming pool wasn’t operational during our visit.

Absolutely recommended for everyone who is looking for an escape far off in the mountains: We stayed here for 3 nights as a family in our roof-top tent. The scenery is fantastic and Nick and his team are very welcoming. While the facilities at the small campsite are basic (showers and flush toilets are in the planning), we were offered to use the bathroom at the beautifully set farm house overlooking the planes to the West of the Usambaras. Here we were also served delicious breakfast and meals and our children were invited to play and read in the living room, when it was raining. The extra-kilometers on a dirt road from the junction at Irente farm up to Paradise are really worth it and add to the feeling of having reached the end of the world. We made it safely up and down despite heavy rains in the nights before leaving. If you don‘t have a proper 4WD you might rather want to ask Nick to...

We stayed at their comfy cottage. Nice short hikes around but also could go on a longer hike to Irente viewpoint through the villages and it was great! Good tasty homemade food. Campsite not very big but owner is looking for expanding it. A big nice swimming pool filled with spring water for hot days! The road was not that bad but had some rocky stretches and slipery ones. Would not recommend to go through it if it had rained but it depends on your 4x4...
