We have just left Simply Saadani Camp (formally known as Tent with a View) after a 2 night, 3 day stay and I can honestly say I don’t think we’ve ever had such a memorable stay anywhere! From being met at the airstrip, going straight on a game drive to then meet our boat safari was all such a surreal experience. We saw baboons a plenty, along with giraffes, buffalo, zebras (which we were told is very rare), water bucks and many, many birds just getting to the boat safari. When we were on the boat safari we saw so many hippos and crocs and let me tell you, stopping to have lunch with the hippos was just a fantastic, everlasting memory. On the way back to the lodge, we were on a short safari drive to the camp and boy did we finish day 1 on a high when we saw elephants! When we thought day 1 couldn’t get any better, we arrived at the lodge and all I can say is WOW! Our family room was FANTASTIC! We were a family of 3 but our room actually had 1 king size and 3 single beds (in a separate room). A tent on stilts, nestled on the beach was something else and let me tell you we arrived at night so the following day when we got to see it in the day light - WOW AGAIN! Day 2 we had an early morning game drive and back to the lodge for breakfast. We then got time to enjoy the lodge and its surroundings before we went canoeing in the afternoon after lunch. That evening we were surprised with the most gorgeous dinner on the beach under the stars by the campfire for our wedding anniversary. The following day we set off on our final early morning game drive before we headed to the Hoza tower for breakfast then back to the lodge for lunch before check out and transport back to the airstrip. ALL the food at the Simply Saadani Camp was sublime (including the packed lunch with the hippos) but it wasn’t just the food, or the fantastic experience of a safari or the amazing accommodation, what bought it all together were the staff! The staff could not do enough to make our stay the most magical!!! Each and every one, from the game drivers, to the lodge staff (even including the security staff). Nothing was too much it really wasn’t and they made you feel like family. Such a special place, providing such a special experience delivered by VERY SPECIAL STAFF!!! If you’re still reading and haven’t booked yet - DO IT, you will not regret this beautiful hidden gem and what they have to offer! Well done Simply Saadani Camp, I just don’t know how we top off...
Read moreAfter an amazing day safari in the Saadani National Park, we drove through the brush to this beautiful “campsite”. The staff was so welcoming and everyone was so kind. The food was absolutely delicious and the accommodations were very high end considering how remote it was. When visiting, make sure to bring lots of bug spray because there are a lot of mosquitos! A very luxurious...
