Kijani Beach Villas & Restaurant — Hotel in Unguja

Our stay at Kijani was an absolute dream! Alya is one gem of a human who, along with the rest of the members of Kijani, really took care of us and made us feel right at home in this paradise.

Kijani is located in a prime location in a quiet and beautiful spot! Paje and other hotspots are about 10-15 minutes drive away and Alya was super helpful in arranging for taxis for our trips. She also helped us with currency exchange which was super kind of her.The beach strip is beautiful and is just 10 steps away from your villa. You really feel like you have the beach to yourself!!

The villas are spacious, clean, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping staff did a stellar job ensuring our villas were fresh and tidy on the daily.

The breakfast options at the restaurant were amazing. The egg roll and chia pudding are a must. We also tried the lunch and dinner options and highly recommend everything on the menu. Food was fresh and delicious!

We spent 4 days at Kijani Beach Villas in February with my family (spouse and 2 kids) and we had such a wonderful time. We booked at the last minute (less than 24h in advance) and Aliya and Chris were very responsive and efficient. As soon as we arrived, Aliya and her team made us feel very comfortable, and this during the whole stay there. She has organized all our daily excursions and airport transfers with excellent partners on the island. The place has only 4 family villas, therefore you are in a very quite and peaceful place, with direct view and access to a beautiful white sandy beach. The swimming pool is of good size, the kids enjoyed it very much. The personnel at the restaurant is amazing, accommodating any of your requests to their best level. The restaurant menu is pleasant and healthy, made of a fusion of local and western style food. The hotel is located in a prime location on the island, you get access to many places within 30 min drive. We loved our experience at Kijani Beach Villas! It was a beautiful property. The villas were spacious, clean and comfortable! The decor in the villa was so cute. We loved watching sunrise from bed. We were able to hear the sound of waves from the room. We loved the little pool at the villa - it was nice to have a private space. It has the best view of the ocean. We loved reading a book at the chairs by the water.

There was a bar on the property for drinks and snacks! The restaurant was being repaired but there was another option that was short walk from the property. It had a beautiful secret garden atmosphere. The service at the restaurant was exceptional and the food was delicious! The bartenders and servers were all very friendly!

The general manager, Aliya, was wonderful! She really made sure we had the best time! She helped us plan different excursions and arranged transportation for all the excursions.
